3rd gen won't work on a 2nd gen unless you wanna do A LOT of fabrication.

Yea f that. I’m more seeing if someone had one they couldn’t sell or something. They’re only $250 or so online figured they can’t resell for a lot. Oh well I’ll try and get this larger ding out if not it’ll just get replaced with tube at some point

Good call 'cause the 3rd gen bumper (I've had 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen tundras) leaves a lot to be desired.

Alignment should be early this coming week so ill post the numbers when i get that done. I can already tell that it has some negative camber thankfully because i was having some positive camber that wouldn't be fixed with out UCA.

Random question but how often do meet ups happen? I know theres a big tundra family here in Socal but just a set gathering to chat about mods or shops in the area? This is my first truck and would love to pick the minds of veterans and see setups.

    Yup, what nishibot said:
We've talked about parking lot meets, and that would work probably for Riverside peeps (a lot of are participants live near one another), but others of us are farther out so, to make the drive, we usually build an easy dirt trail run in, then socialize and compare mods throughout. A lot of ideas exchanged and mod money spent after each run, for sure.

We've been ramping up to meeting almost as often as once a month... but nothing set yet for July. If you find a parking lot with a lot of spaces sized for Tundras, and post a date, it'd probably be that easy....

As for you, I see you're in Chula Vista, nearer me! :yay:

What days can you meet? I prefer to meet for dirt play dates, but what are you thinking?

It was just a random idea but I can definitely scout out some large parking lots to accommodate a load of sexy tundras. I'm active duty on shore duty so anytime after 5pm is alright with me. I know San Diego traffic can be rough but I'll try and find some mutual ground that will be easy for anyone in SoCal to come to.

Hmmn. I don't have connections up where you are, so can't recommend a place. I have bought into good advice: get as much caster as you can (both sides).

Yeah thats what i told them they just couldnt figure it out and i just was in my head like let me use your machine i bet i can do it. Also the left side had a over 2° of caster and then had almost none after they worked on it so i am confused on how caster disappears on a pretty fixed caster platform lol

Its not a "fixed caster platform"

The tech just didn't know how to adjust the LCA properly. Or he didn't care. Get an alignment by a real shop. 99% of them don't care.

Or do it in your driveway, I've been thinking about doing my own alignments with a plumb bob. I already know how to adjust toe by myself

Yeah sorry for lack of better terms. I mainly just meant there isnt any caster plate on top like ive seen on some cars. But yeah i just think the tech didnt care all that much.

Those guys barely make more than minimum wage. I get good results from alignments shops that use regular mechanics for the alignments. Like commercial truck shops.

I ran Into the same issues with poor alignment techs not giving a sh*t, yielding the same numbers you're showing @JasonJK
I looked around for a shop that did more than just alignments (suspension installs specifically) as @osidepunker suggested. Even easier, I just looked at the type of vehicles in the lots of potential shops. Lowered civics and stock Acuras wouldn't be a shop I'd use. Jeeps with 40s, LT Tundra, and trucks with larger tires was the shop I ended up with and worked out great

Your caster is maxed out. The tech probably had to sacrifice the driver’s side camber just to get that much caster. It’s your Icon arms. They just don’t allow enough caster. You can try going somewhere else but they’re not going to be able to get it much better.
