I have been applying PB Blaster for a couple of weeks. The bushings are shot as well so might as well bite the bullet and replace the lower arms. That way I won't have to mess with getting the bushings out and pressing new ones in. The bushings aren't cheap either, just seems easier.

This was the situation I was in 2 years ago. I took the truck in JUST for new shocks and they said the cams bolts were seized (per your situation). They explained all the extra work and cost and I said fuggetabouit! Forget even doing the shocks and give me the truck back because I’m not ready to do this other extra stuff due to liking to only pay out of pocket.

So, I waited and saved more money and almost bought a new truck. Discovered this site along the way and learned a few things. Decided a new truck payment was stupid based on both my mechanics advice.

Anyways, I bit the bullet and paid a shop big money to do the work on a new front suspension OEM rebuild. Suspension work doesn’t blow my skirt up. Its hard work. The money paid was well worth it. They had it for two days. The new cam bolts allow for a nice high dollar suspension. No more squeaky bushings. I went with OEM lower control arm$$$. $3300 parts and labor. All Parts were $1700 alone.

I feel like you haven't seen my posts, or don't recall me because I am newer. I have done all the work to my suspension in the last few weeks and I'll do these arms myself. It's easy stuff yet painful (body wise for my 40 yrs) but I am not paying them to be lazy and hack shit off my truck. I can spend $550 in parts and do it myself and know it was done right instead of the $1,300+ they want. It's an easy job once you get the seized bolts out. Air hammer it is!

Yes, I remember your being able to do the work and anytime you can DIY it saves money.

That shop suddenly reduced their price when I told them to zip it up and give it back hoping I’d change my mind.

Keep us posted on how it goes. The $1600 labor was well worth it for me to pay someone else (rotors, brakes, sway reconnect, 4 shocks, lcas, cvjs, cams, high dollar alignment, etc.).

That sounds like a lot of shit for that price! I actually enjoy working on my vehicle. It sucks but at the same time I love it. I am so anal that it leaves me with piece of mind after the fact. I know shit was torqued, adjusted, installed or mounted properly. I am sure you get it, I have seen plenty of your posts and you seem to be a bit OCD like me.

Like a Recovering Alcoholic, I am a Recovering Perfectionist. You never recover fully, but you realize your limitations and temper your expectations accordingly.

The suspension sales guy was made well aware going into the job of it needing to be a certain way. I am happy about it all and I think you will be too. The truck is like new again after about 5 years of being real tired and squeaking/hobbling around corners.

I am already thinking about raising the rear an inch and the front another revolution. I am starting to regret my decision on my leafs because it was a shotgun decision which is not norm for me. Archive Garage is on my radar but the $$$ is not there at moment. Happy with everything else though. I went "curb" bashing the other night and I was happy. Lol

Yeah that Toyota cam bolt kit was $tupid. Sales guy said their was another kit that was a 1/3 price, but superior in that the alignment could be adjusted the way they wanted. You suspension guys understand this I guess. Can’t recall the name brand right now, but if its better and cheaper its a no brainer.

SPC kit has more degree range than OEM from what I have read.

You could have my cams if they don't get destroyed when I take them out. I'm shooting for July 16th for the install of my new suspension so anytime after that. I'm planning on replacing my cams with 3/4" bolts and using heimed uppers to adjust camber and to some extent caster.

Thanks for the offer but I have already ordered the required parts. I don't fuck around. it's both a good quality and a bad one.

Thank you. Just some iron on patches adhered with double sided tape for now. Seems to be working well. Looks better in person.

Very nice. We really.need this post made easy to find, Mods!
I upgraded all of mine months ago and some were trial and error. Because no one website could agree on the dome and map lights lol. I sent back LEDs and the second time buying I got a couple other size festoons just to cover my bases. Hell even tundras.com and superbrightleds.com had wrong sizes listed sometimes.

I need to relocate mine or just remove it for Summer. It doesn't handle the hot temps or direct sunlight well.
