So instead of making 1000 different threads of all the crazy things I do.

So for those that don't know me, I enjoy making things myself, I enjoy the challenge and mostly to stay out of the house! Lol.

Recently we moved to a five acre ranch. We are temporarily living in a double wide trailer until we build a new house.

And this ranch is where all the fun stuff goes on.

The other day I purchased used welder from the swap meet.

    1eb100f4d9a2bb37193c641b766b2f84_64f28dc663a0d65cb932d123b49730de94983f1f.jpg

I got it running right and put it on a little trailer I had

    ebf45d2626cdcba574f2b40b0678ea56_2940924afc23524f8f60772c9e1f1438cb280261.jpg

made a little fab shop on wheels.

I . made brackets for the actuators to open the gates.

Next step is to wire up a larger solar panel and the wireless controller for the gates.

I know they sell off the shelf gate openers, but that will not work for me. I have to buy all the individual components and build it myself. :D

I look forward to this thread @dragos28. I don't visit TT too much anymore, but when I do, I go straight to the ranch thread for updates and laughs

    Very nice sir!!!!

You may need to come back out to Colorado to "party" and "look for property"......and build some gates with me out at my property. I have some plans.

    Thanks!

    is that an invite? :p

Thanks! i still need to figure out a way to either hook up gate access through the intercom or make a keypad outside, for guests and friends to be able to get in.

if thats too complicated i can just have a toggle switch hidden behind the intercom that i can let family and friends use....

Hell yeah, of course it's an invite.

Bring the wife and kids, they are the best. My oldest might take a liking to your boy....we would have to keep an eye on them two.

What is a good thread topic I should be searching for over there? I tried your name and first some ads come up and then a bunch of threads, but with some hard to sort through topic titles.
If I'm even using their search correctly.
