#1 - Everyone needs one of these.

It took about 12 hours to do the install. It's possible to do it as a one man job but it would be easier with 2. The instructions are super clear and concise. Don't start the install unless you already have a 12mm swivel socket. Getting to the SC mounting bolts and torquing them is the 2nd hardest part of the job. Take off the center strut in front of the radiator before installing the inter-cooler radiator. Installing the serpentine belt is a bitch and the hardest part of the job. Check off each step as you complete it. Be patient and organized. Keep stuff together with plastic bags because you reuse a lot of it. You have to pull the program from the truck and email it to Magnuson and they email the program back. I started the install without it and it wasn't a big deal to do the programming at the end. Mark at Magnuson had it back to me in like 30 minutes and helped me with another issue. I don't know if because my truck is flex fuel but it didn't use the Bully Dog programmer it uses one from HPTuners and it requires 4 credits to upload the tune to the truck. My programmer said it needed 6 but Mark set me straight that my software needed to be updated and the 4 credits they put in were all I needed.

Congrats on your SC! So you went with the HP tuner instead of the bully dog? I’m curious how your truck will perform on a Dyno for hp and torques at the rear wheels.

It’s more HP than the truck has traction for. In the rain it’s like driving on ice. So, pretty happy with it. I can see a limited slip in my near future.

Glad to hear your enjoying your SC. I would recommend the Auburn LSD. It makes a big difference.

Here is the exact specs Auburn gave me for my 2017.

    Auburn
    High performance differential limited slip
    10 1/2 12bolt
    Part number:
    5420134
    36 spline axial

Where are you in FL? If there was only a way I could keep this from my wife I'd be all over it.

I am currently pricing out a few options to get ready for a SC in the future. Currently checking into

5.29 gears, Auburn LSD, Front & Rear TRD sways, Headers, Mids and the tune that goes with it.

Anyone have any additional ideas pros/cons?

Don't do headers if you are going to sc in the future.

    Cape Coral

I suggest start with the SC and then do the other stuff. Wife won't stay mad forever...

Headers, if you've never had them, are a pain in the ass. Even good ones have to be re-torqued often and are prone to leaks. I've heard they are a real pain to install on the Tundra including having to remove the passenger side engine mount and hammer wrenching the firewall to get them to fit. Remove the stock muffler with something that flows better. I went with Corsa but there are a lot of options.

    Auburn LSD - Good idea

    Sway bars - Good idea

Gears - not unless you're going to crawl it.

Wait on tuning - It's got more horsepower than it has traction. Run it for awhile and see what you think. Then, maybe, a smaller pulley, a boost gauge, exhaust stoich gauge, and then some dyno runs to get a tune.

With the new tuner they are using I recommend a peddle commander as well.

    Gas mileage update

Was getting about 13 before the SC based on what the dash computer says. After adding the SC the dash says 16 which I know is complete BS.... My calculator says 10 which is accurate based on fuel added and miles driven. I'm sure the mileage will get better as the newness stops weighting down my right foot. This is all in town drifting, I mean driving...
