Looking for my first Tundra

New to the group and would love some insight. I'm looking at getting my first Tundra and going back and forth between a 2019 Limited or just going with a used one.

Got a quote for a 2019 Limited with the TRD Package for $44,500 out the door (tax, tags, fees) and found a 2016 Limited with 31k miles, can get out the door for $39k. Certainly insurance would be higher on new and in VA we have to pay personal property tax every year.

Its just I have never bought a used vehicle so a little skeptical and never owned a Toyota and not sure of the quality.

Any insight on those who have bought used would be greatly appreciated.

The difference to me is so small that I would get the new but you may not be in the same boat as me.

You can't go wrong with a used one but make sure that the people selling it are top notch.
Even some dealers will screw you over on a used truck

For the used though I have seen them for 31,000 to 34,000

Search in your area for like trucks and go from there

 

I ended up going with the 2019 Limited with TRD Offroad Package.

I'd go new. Price difference for used is so close due to high resale value. Might as well enjoy all the miles and years of the "new" truck plus the warranty should anything go wrong. Interest rates tend to be lower on new vehicles versus used so check that also. New comes with new tires, brakes, wiper blades, paint, etc.. etc..

I am in the market for a new tundra myself, just sold a 2013 Tacoma access cab 4-wheel drive, out right..... That was one heck of a deal 44500 out the door price , what dealership did you use in Virginia? I live in Virginia as well my closest dealership gave me a price of 45400 on a limited, out the door
