I have a 2017 Tundra Platinum and I recently upgraded my puddle lights to drive bright LED lights. I can't get them to come on at all. I reinstalled the old factory ones and they do not work either. So I checked the fuses under the hood and inside the cab under the driver foot well with not luck to a blown fuse. Does anyone know if there is a separate fuse for the puddle lights on the outside mirrors? I do have an aftermarket alarm as well and I'm wondering if when they did the install it disabled my puddle lights all together. I did read some Tundra owners having this problem with aftermarket alarms.

I did this mod too but have had good luck. They did work for a bit then quit? hmmm I don't have an aftermarket alarm. Could be the issue as you already checked the fuses and even tried the old OEMs. is it security alarm or remote start or both? @BlueBottle any ideas?

    See fine print
Do you have the original Toyota keyless remote? The way it works, those lights only turn on when you unlock via the original fob. They do not come one with the dome lights.

At this point you have two options to get them to work.

    1) have the alarm company tie in the puddle lights to your alarm

    2) wire them up to your dome lights.

Either way you have to be pretty good with electrical to do them.

    Good luck.

Good point BlueBottle. I'll try my stock remote and see if the puddle lights come on with them.

I talked to the alarm installer and he said they have to reword the puddle lights to the aftermarket alarm. I guess when they disabled the stock alarm they also disabled the puddle lights. I'll let you know what I find out this next week.
