I have a 2012 with the 4.6L engine. I had the same lights the other day and it went into limp mode. Scan shows secondary air injection problem. I will be getting a by pass kit very soon.

Mine also came up P2440 and P1604 all related to the air injection. I just ordered the by pass kit from Hewitt- Tech for $349.00. The Toyota tech at the dealer told me today that the kit does work and one of the techs actually installed it on his Toyota and hasn’t had any problems for over a year. You might want to go that route too.

Keep in mind too that I’m in Virginia so I don’t have to pass an emissions test. It may still pass emissions anyway since the injection system only works for a minute or two at start up. That may be a question better suited to the company though.
