I would like a do over. I feel like I let the Texas crew down. I am vowing to make it happen no matter what with advanced planning but i want to add something to the itinerary that IMO signifies what Colorado is all about.
I purpose we go to a concert at Red Rocks. Whatever music/band we can agree to. I promise it will be the best concert experience you have been to. I used to go in the early 90s quite a bit. I’ve seen Petty, Blues Traveler, big Head Todd and others multiple times and it was always a blast. It’s definitely something cool to check off the list.
    You guys let me know.
And I’m down for Texas. My wife is a native and I’ve spent plenty of time in SA. I could see myself buying property when I retire to escape the winters.

    Flux capacitor!
Unfortunately I only have enough parts to build 1/2 of a tundra. Lol. Lots of great beer gardens around my area.

It’s ok. We’ll do a night raid at the factory if we need more parts.

My first Red Rocks experience was in 79. Allman Brothers, Fleetwood Mac, John Prine, Commander Cody, Little River Band, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Poco, JIMMY BUFFET!

Red rocks is really the best. Concerts, film on the rocks or just a hike to check it out

Back then you could bring a Bota or a collapsible jug with your favorite mix. I was stationed at Lowry AFB for metrology training. The day of the Allman Bros concert a few of my fellow Marines chipped in on a keg and we pre-flighted at the creek near Morrison. The keg was chilling in the creek. After a bit of swilling we noticed the keg floating down the creek. Keg got buoyant. Some down stream fly fisher scored big time. Some beer still in keg, with our tap. I forgot how much the tap and keg cost was that we had to pay the next day. :facepalm:But.....we didn't care....Marines!!!! Oooh Rahhhh!

I’d imagine there are. Austin is very close to there, along with San Marcos, New Braunfels, etc. That whole area is pretty awesome.

Also Moody Gardens and Schlitterbahn if you like water parks. I haven’t been to the one in Galveston, but the one in New Braunfels is pretty dope.

@Trooper2 ’s house is relatively close also. It’s a must see attraction. He needs to rearrange his furniture back to the old way though.

The way my windshield mount is has the camera upside down. So I have to flip it, convert it out of .Mov, and then I can start to trim it and add music, etc. Gonna be a little while... :pccoffee:

Did the dash mount work well for you?

I think so. I liked having it right in the middle and easily accessible to swap out. I haven't looked at the footage yet but some of it might be upside down or sideways.

    @csuviper
    Adding to @War Machine suggestions.

Moody Gardens has a lot to do there; smaller water park (more for just getting wet and for smaller kids), an IMax theater, and several wildlife/nature exhibits. https://www.moodygardens.com/attractions/

Schlitterbahn water park is fun. https://www.schlitterbahn.com/galve...MIzfuO86iF4wIVjYbACh1VAwlIEAAYASAAEgIl_fD_BwE

The Strand, which is like the Historical District with some neat shops, food, and drinks. A really neat candy/ice cream store La King's Confectionery where they make much of the candy sold there. https://lakingsconfectionery.com/

There is a Railroad Museum near the Strand. Not a "must do" but if you are into trains..........

Beaches almost end to end. The water is usually better on the west end, but never breathtaking. Too much nearby river runoff. You can drive on some beaches at each end.

Pleasure Pier - Small amusement park. Personally lower on my list.

Lots of good places to eat, Seafood, burgers and more. Fishtails across from Pleasure Pier really good and decent prices. The Spot is a great Burger (and more) place.

The Sea Wall, about 10 miles of paved sidewalk on the water/beach edge that you can bike, skate, walk etc. Can be fun. Bike rentals available, single and 4-6 seaters with covers.

Sea Wolf Park. You can go on a parked submarine. https://www.galveston.com/seawolfpark/

The Bolivar Ferry, 20-25 minute free ferry ride across the mouth of the Bay. Kind of fun, kids may enjoy. You get to ride it back, so two ferry rides. :)

Johnson Space Center, about 30 minutes north in Clear Lake.

I may think of something more.
