This is my first Tundra, but the a/c almost seems too effective in the mornings. When it is over 75 or so in the morning here (every day until October) when I start the truck the windshield, both front windows, and the mirrors fog over. Defrost does not help. My previous F150 did not do it. My son’s Silverado did not do it. He drove a rented Tacoma for a week and complained about the same thing in it. (Needed a Tacoma when his Chevy front end accidentally met an F250 monster hitch square in the middle.) Any suggestions?

Have the dealer check your AC out. It doesn't sound like your AC compressor is even running.

When the AC compressor is running, the expansion coil inside the cabin will be COLD. When warm humid air hits the cold AC coil, the humidity in the air should immediately condense on the coil and drain out of the HVAC housing drain. Defrost setting alone would not help, but with defrost on and the AC compressor running, your windshield should defog quickly.

Thank you. I will contemplate. I think the compressor is working and that is why the windows are fogging, outside warm, moist air is condensing on cooling glass/somewhat cool interior. The windshield seems the same, condensation on the outside. And wipers do not fix it. Nor does washer fluid. It takes about ten - 15 minutes before everything clears up. I think I need to be able to warm the windshield and the side windows, while cooling the interior. An impossible task? I may just try to remember to shut off a/c when I pull in and see how that does. We have perhaps 95% humidity at night at 75, outside temp. And then 90% at 93 deg during the day

Happens here every morning these days. Run the defroster for a few minutes at just past the middle setting, then when windshield is clear, switch over to AC, set at around middle cool and enjoy. This only happens before daylight or right at it.

Along the TX coast during really humid conditions, I've had it happen on numerous occasions, and not just in the Tundra. Any vehicle with really good cold A/C will do the same in the right conditions. Make sure your cold air is not blowing through the defrost vents, cooling the windshield.

Glad I don’t have those issues in AZ. Right now at about 5am I get in its 85 degrees and dry.

I grew up in Southern California so understand dry air. It is nice though not to worry about watering/irrigation/drinking water/dust here and not having to request water at a restaurant. Wish I could be migratory. It took me 10 years or more to adapt to Texas humidity, even when I was in shape.

Pre-heat the glass to induce evaporation, then use the AC for de-humidification. Brilliant!

Ahhh...Condensation on the OUTSIDE of the windshield. Different problem, no way to dehumidify Texas coastal air except a "Norther". Sounds like you've got some good advice. ;)

I work second shift and usually get out of work around 3 or 4. I pretty much deal with this problem almost every night lately.
