About a month ago I noticed two dents over the back wheel on the passenger side. It's obvious because of the location that it wasn't caused by someone's door. That plus there were no scratches or paint damage. It appeared someone may have hit it with there knuckle. Only thing I can think of. I had these removed and two weeks later I have two more but in the driver's side. Same area over the back wheel near the bedrail. So I call the dent guy again to have these removed and less than a week later before these are repaired there's a third one on the same side! I am beyond pissed and have no idea why this is happening. Not sure if I should install an alarm. Thought maybe if they did it again and the alarm went off it might deter them in the future? Thought about a dash cam too but really need one that can see down the sides of the truck not just front and back. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Time to do a stake out and serve up some knuckle sandwiches!! Where is this happening? Any other reports of damage on other vehicles? If its happened 3 times now i can only imagine the damages will get worse.

You can still use a two channel dash cam system to see who or what pulls up behind or next to you and if there is an issue to go back and review the footage. I'm sure the video will easily be able to let you hear the sound of a bang from the dent. At least you can capture a face or plate.

    This.

Do you park on a street full of Prius lovers at night? Could be some random douche walking by that hates trucks. Or you pissed someone off lol.
I work in Portland and everyone hates big trucks.
Thankfully I live more in the country (zero worries out there) and do not ever park anywhere in Portland except my reserved parking spot at my business on camera LOL.
Cameras kick ass!! Figure that out and save some money!

I think I have it narrowed down to a location we frequent in town. A stake out will be going down tonight! I check the truck for dents now EVERY TIME I get in it. We recently moved, only a mile from our old home, and I've installed security cameras on the home thinking maybe it was someone that didn't like us being their new neighbors. No evidence of anyone snooping around or on our property though. Next step is dash cams I guess. I sure hope it's not someone I know. Gonna be a BAD day if it is!

I have an almost identical dent, but on the passenger side. It is directly above the rear tire, but right at the bed rail. It is in a location that would be impossible for another car/truck to have made it. It is a vertical dent, like someone karate chopped it. LOL I'm guessing a weak spot in the metal or something and possibly someone leaned against the truck. The local paintless dent removal company quoted me $250 to remove it.

There’s a guy (or kid) in my neighborhood who has keyed every car on the street. I park in the city so there are a plethora of bogies.

I spent the first couple weeks dreaming of what I’d do to him if I had caught him. I feel your pain.

It sounds like this guy has an issue with you or with your truck (who’s not envious of these things) but file a police report in case you catch him on camera and hopefully can nail him for this and his next damage.

Or the guy works at the garage who keeps fixing it, lol

Good luck and may this dude lose his finger up to the second knuckle

This runs all the way to the back wheel well.

I never got mine fixed because he’d just do it again. When I move I’ll fix it

You just cracked the case. Picture this! A local or new an up can coming Paintless Dent guy going around strumming up business. Those are the ones I'd be watching for.
