Hey guys, I hair brained this thought of having a specific thread for Tundra truck owners that bought the same Tundra as I did. Hopefully, others can chime in if they know Tundras of all gens, but specifically our gen and year.

Hope it works for us. My first question is on the next post.

    Thanks!

This is about my skid plate below the engine. I want to change its color. Mine is white and I can swear the Toyota Service Dept. swapped skid plates on my truck. But I can't prove it, since I don't remember or ever looked to see what color it originally was. I want to Linex the skid plate. Or if I get bored, I'll do it my self with a Rustoleum black.

This morning, I went out to remove the skid plate and I ran into (4) one way screws, I guess supporting the sides of the skid plate, along with (4) 9/16 bolts supporting the center.

My question is how do I remove the skid plate myself? One way screws? How do you change the oil filter without removing the skid plate? I don't know because I have always taken it to the Toyota dealer to have the oil changed.

Hopefully all this makes sense to y'all.

I must have a fuse out that has to do with my interior lights domes and door lights. Does anyone have a chart of which fuse run those lights? The fuse box cover chart didn't help at all.

I didn't / don't have any one way screws...just all bolts...and my skid was not color matched...is yours a base or TRD?

There's a fuse box by the driver side kick panel...should be a 10 amp (?) might have to pull it to see which one is broken.

Sorry sean thanks for the feedback, found the fuse where you mentioned, 20amp, the skid plate is a TRD. I'm going to have the dealer pull it off on my next oil change, I'm curious to find out how much oil sludge is on top of the skid plate from prior oil filter changes.

I also replaced the OEM antenna with 13" stub antenna I found on Amazon.

I didn't notice any difference in radio reception.

Thanks! I was thinking of using a small dia. dowel and shaping the end. But a toothpick will work.

I added another mod today installed door handle carbon fiber door handles. Also decided that Plasti-dipping the SR5 badges it brought it together. Need to find a tailgate gate handle cover with the camera mold.

I really like those carbon fiber handles! I would have never thought to cover them like that.
