Just my son and I at home tonight. We could not decide what to grill, so we decided on a mix grill. Top sirloin, lamb chop, brat, baked potato finished on the grill and a sunny up egg.

My wife and I are on a weekend getaway, but that doesn't mean we don't have to grill. Still way better than going to a restaurant. Got some T-bones and brats. Leftover brats will be breakfast.

Last night was Tuna steaks with sweet potato fries and salad. Also a few chicken thighs for the week's lunches.

Lamb ribs and brats. Served with sweet potato fries and salad.
Grill whole racks, then last few minutes cut it in 2-bone pieces and grill the cut sides.

My kids made dinner for Father's Day. So glad I raised them right. They know their way around the kitchen and the grill. My son makes an art out of grilling - practising the perfect reverse sear, mixing the perfect blend of butter, herbs and spices etc. It makes for a dinner that no restaurant can beat.
Rib eye with smashed potatoes and green beans.

And while I am bragging with the kids, Friday night they made dinner also. Grilled pork tenderloin and chicken thighs. Mashed potatoes and green beans.

And while the grill is hot today after the steaks were done, I put a few chicken breast on there for the week's lunches. We cut it up to go with salads.

I wish I grilled more. Just the two of us and kinda a pain to figure up charcoal.
When I was growing up we had a cast iron electric hibachi grill with lava rocks in it.
    Not unlike this.
    https://www.amazon.com/Marsh-Allen-30052AMZ-Products-Charcoal/dp/B00D10RROS
but it had an electrical element, no thermostat, either on or off. You'd adjust the grates to control the heat. Even as kid I would fire that thing up and throw a hamburger or something on it.
My brothers remember it but we don't know what happened to it. Anyone else remember those things?

Cooked 2 thick cut NY Strips 2 different ways. 1st on was on the Traeger at 225 for 50-60 minutes until internal temp was 108. 2nd steak was with a Sous vide imersion cooker at 130 for 75-80 minutes. Both steaks rested for 10 minutes then pan seared.

Would have been a more fair taste test if the steaks were closer in size. Both steaks were really good, but the wife and I preferred the Traeger steak. Full dinner included grilled corn, potatoes, and whiskey and rootbeer
