    Features:

    · Massive 2.5 hard anodized aluminum body

    · Heavy duty ¾” induction-hardened shaft

    · Internal hydraulic valving optimized for each truck models

    · Big bore design for increase response and less fading

    · External remote reservoir for extra cooling

    · Triple sealing system with dust wiper

B- 2.5” Reservoir (2.5” body size, Remote Reservoir)

These shocks offer the same great features as our DC shocks, but without compression adjustment. Perfect for a daily driver truck with occasional off-road use.

C- 2.5” IFP (2.5” body size, Internal Floating Piston)

Tremendous improvement over the stock shocks, the Internal Floating Piston (IFP) Elka shocks are perfect for the drivers looking to improve the handling and comfort of their trucks with a simple and efficient shock package capable of light off-road duties.

All Elka Suspension Tundra Tacoma front coilover shocks are available in two lift options:

    · 0-2” lift. Set from the factory at 1.5” lift for the front shocks to achieve a level look with the rear. This is the “leveling kit” option from Elka.

    · 2-3” lift. Set from the factory at 2.5” for the front shocks to pair with a rear lift kit. This option should only be installed along with aftermarket Upper Control Arms (UCA) to allow proper suspension geometry, correct down travel and perfect alignment.

Factory preload is adjusted to correct the “Tundra lean”, but please note that it can vary from a vehicle to another so an adjustment may be required.

All Elka Suspension rear shocks (remote reservoirs or IFP) are compatible with a stock truck and lift kits up to 2”.

These are a bolt-on installation, no need to cut or trim anything on the truck.

The Elka Suspension Toyota Tundra shocks are engineered to offer the best performance both on road and off road for daily driven trucks. Elka targets drivers doing overlanding adventure, gravel roads, light off-road trails, light crawling and daily driving on all kind of good or bad roads.

Welcome. Rad. You can’t deny good old Elka suspension. I ran it on my ‘87 trx 250r. Worked great.

Bought new June 2017. Mods done May-June 2019 (I got busy, and boy am I happy): *Elka 2.5 coil overs front, elka 2.5 rear both with reservoir cylinders: https:/us.elkasuspension.com/product/2-5-reservoir-front-rear-shocks-kit-for-toyota-tundra-2007-to-2017-2-in-to-3-in-lift/ (set to Elka factory settings, with built-in compensation for lean, 2.5" of suspension lift in front). (Bought from Toytec, installed locally) *Total chaos UCA: (bought Toytec, installed locally) *New rear leaf spring pack: don't have link (provides about 2" of lift and stiffens things up a little bit) *35x12.50 Falken on 20" MR 309 Grid "race" wheels (Really, really regret that I didn't get 18" or even 17" wheels. Like the look and road performance, wish I had more rubber to play with on the trail, poor choice). *Stealth light bar in grill valance: https://www.roughcountry.com/toyota-30in-led-bumper-kit70655c.htmlgclid=CjwKCAjwuqfoBRAEEiwAZErCshDWqD9kgBWOkMW3JR7J4Q0STQuMzrP2CZ5pWdlsICepeiPyVB4M-xoCWEwQAvD_BwE (this thing is bright, and almost drowns out my high-beams even at distance. It cost about $250... I have no idea why anyone would spend over 1K on a rigid bar) *LED projector headlight bulb replacement: (gotta find the link) *Headlight Revolution LED fog light replacement: https://headlightrevolution.com/2014-2017-toyota-tundra-led-fog-light-bulb-upgrade-gtr-lighting-ultra-series/ (similar to post above about the bar... these are expensive, but about 1/3 of rigid, and plenty bright for both on and off-road use) *Dark window tint (matches the rear and back window, so quite dark). *stubby antenna (Don't do this if you live in a rural area without XM, it looks cool, but like much of it's ilk, it isn't functional and you lose signal easy. My long antenna whistles above 80 mph though and I have satellite radio). from Ebay June 2017-July 2019 *Chrome delete (this wasn't easy or particularly cheap, and I started 2 years ago, just did the bumper ends ). Done: grill surround, pro-grill insert, badge overlays-matte black, Front bumper ends, 1d6 color matched bumpershellz (messed up the install, made it waaay harder than it is, found the directions once they were on and one was cracked), rear bumper came color matched. Most were used parts found locally or on ebay. Next up: In the next two weeks: -RCI Skid plates -RCI Rock Sliders both to be installed by Toytec in Denver Later (whenever I can pull it off without my wife killing me): *Front winch bumper *Rear arb air lockers *Exhaust upgrade: Bam 8" or OEM PRO *Rear bumper replace Seems there's always one more thing to do...
541C9D52-5A1F-4A88-9E5C-09594C6406FC.jpg Huge upgrade... Seems like a lot of money, til you drive with this suspension. Equally impressive on pavement and trail.

@LifeCycle I’d help if I could but I am new to this myself. Everything on my system, including the external adjustments on the reservoirs, is exactly as it came to me. @Bailey would seem to be your guy.

@Steamin yes was trying to see if I could adjust the LSC to reduce damping and see if I can get a "more plush feel" on road..I do have the rear sway bar so I feel that would help with the body roll and trying to adjust the LSC but that darn thing will not budge..learning process still..

I’m pretty eager for info on the system myself. More for trail and off road use. I’ve been so busy with work and kids, and so pleased with it, that I just left it alone.

Tell me about your sway bar...
    where are you getting benefit?
    Just curious.
I added a leaf and my ride is still pretty damn plush throughout.
I’m not running a sway bar though. Because I’ve heard that it really stiffens shit up. Zero experience of my own outside of towing with another rig, and that was loaded. Loved it then...

My experience with my ride on-road since installing these (700# Springs, 2.5” factory setting) along with 35x12.50, I’m flat out steadier than before on the road, in turns at speed. Not much roll. Seriously.

Off road it’s ridiculous. Feel superhuman.

Now I’m convinced I need lockers.

Frankly, I have had the sway bar since before the Elka's, now I'm having to decide to keep it or ditch it...it did reduce body roll and have had the procomp black series lift kit prior to this...I just might take sway bar off and see if it behaves differently...on the rears I have the OME spring leaf pack with +3 CB shackles which raised the rear up about 1.75 in. My wheels are 20 inch on 275 65 shoes

Try and hold the high speed knob with your other hand while you turn the low speed knob, it should work fine and after a few clicks it should turn independently.

If this is not working, contact us directly at the shop so we can look into it more in details with you.

    Thanks

I set it different every drive for about 3 weeks till I Found the sweet spot. Crank it all the way to the left for both high speed and low speed dampening. from there go 2 clicks on the front for both high speed and low speed on the black go 3 clicks high speed and 2 clicks low speed. That is the best setting for a plush ride that still takes corners well and floats nicely over bumps and the bed also gets no hop on the freeway.

I'll try exactly what you recommend when I get home from vacation.

Anyone have advice on how you'd adjust from there for slow speed technical off-road use?

Just occurred to me that my leaf springs are not stock. I added a new set when installing the Elkas, rather than putting a block between the leafs and axle. I know, overkill, but I didn't want ANY blocks or shims anywhere in my suspension. Anyway, I've gotta presume they're stiffer now, as they gave me about 2" of altitude... but as I installed it all together, I of course wasn't able to tell the difference subjectively. So I'll probably have to tinker with the rears a bit. Maybe leave both high and low speed wide open to the left on the rear?

Finally got to try the ride out right today. I pushed it as far as I dared alone and without a winch. My suspension was equally impressive crawling technical terrain as it was doing 65 across prairie trails. Satisfied customer #1.

@Elka Suspension Hi Franc. I finally finished the front and rear set up.
    IMG_20190905_182438.jpg

Everything went together well. I do have a couple of questions for you. When I spoke with you before, you let me know the 700 pound spring is what you guys are now using for the 2-3 inch lift. Is that correct?

Just taking a couple of measurements before I installed the coilovers, they both had exactly 1 inch of thread showing. After I put them on, and took a quick ride down the street and back, I found that my driver's side is one inch lower than the passenger side. Basically, I want to lower the passenger side a half inch and raise the driver's side a half inch.

Is there any standard of how many turns per inch of lift, or how much thread shows vs lift?

Also, if I completely get the pressure off of the coilover, is it alright to adjust these while on the truck? After the amount of time it took me to get them on, I dread taking them back off!

Sorry, if this was the wrong place to ask these questions.

I still have the shock adjustments at 7 from your factory all the way around. The short ride I took blew my socks off... So smooth! This is my first experience with any kind of "premium" shock and I wish I had just spent the money right when I bought this truck.

Edit: after driving it for the weekend, it the springs have settled a bit. Looks like I'm exactly a half inch lower on the driver's side. I'm wondering just how many miles I should put on the springs before I know they have settled completely. But I am still wondering if there is an amount of overall lift vs preload. .25 inches of threads showing = half inch overall lift? Something like that?

Just in case anyone sees my question and would like the answer to it, Elka responded to this in another thread. I figured I'd put it here.

I do believe that is wrong, don’t think they applied the 1:2 motion ratio. 1 turn on coilover physically lowers coil 1.5mm, applying 1:2 = 3 mm lift. 4.5 turns x 3mm lift = 13.5mm lift.

Man.. my brain hurts looking at that. I'll have to convert all that in inches for my monkey brain. Ok, so does it matter that I have the 2-3 inch coil kit? If it's wrong, it came from Elka. Maybe they will come check it out.

    Hello @Elka Suspension

And since you popped in, hello @Toytec Lifts . Maybe you have input?

Edit: the 2-3 inch lift kit now comes with a 700 pound spring.

Dave, reading over what you said a couple of times, I'm understanding what you are saying. Unless we are missing something, I believe you are right. Man, I may owe you a steak for that catch!

You are right! Thank you for catching this little mistake. With 2:1 motion ratio, moving the preload ring down 4.25" to increase preload will yield 0.5" lift at the wheel. Thank you for catching this one!!!

    @Elka Suspension
My 2019 4x4 5.7L Crewmax came with all the electronic geegaws which I have grown to like. From what I read on here, these systems like to see some rake maintained to function properly.
I have on order a pair of Elka 2.5 DC RESERVOIR FRONT SHOCKS for TOYOTA TUNDRA, 2007 to 2019 (0 in. to 2 in. lift) which your site says are factory preset at about 1.5" (38mm) of lift. I plan to add Total Chaos 3/4" LIFT SHACKLES to the rear when I do the front.
My math says that if I reduce the preload by 6 turns, that should get me to around 3/4" (19mm) of lift, which is where I want to be.
Does this sound about right? Is the 38mm spec roughly accurate for my truck's configuration? Strikes me that there may be a difference between this and say a 2WD DoubleCab.

Answered my own question through practical experience. Elka factory preset height (+1.5”) and TC 3/4” shackles rear = no errors in the electronics. Good to go!
