Big changes coming to the Tundra

blame that on that Mike guy heading up Tundra development. He came from Dodge.

 

This is like the Subaru Global Platform, but Subaru mostly is all SUV's I see how it works, we got the Ascent and it's roomy, big, quiet but it's definitely not a Truck.

How is this suppose to work? LOL

 

there is a reason they took it away from the 4runner, it stole sales from the lexus gx v8. why buy a gx v8 for 55-65k when you can get just as capable 4runner with a v8 for 10-20k less.

On both test mule pics I see 6-lug wheels. I'm curious to see what the next batch of stock wheel designs will look like.

This is why I didn't wait to get my newest Tundra until the new redesign dropped, and just bought another 2016 with half the mileage. I don't trust them to do the redesign right.

I don't see a driver side grab handle.....

 

I have a feeling they are going to do the same thing they did with the 3rd Gen Tacoma and recycle the chassis and body with tweaks here and there, throw in a new Powertrain and interior. Truck In that pic looks like it has some good squat to it with that trailer so I doubt the rear leafs will be more stout then current.

Or they could suprise us and bring all new to the table and are just testing drivetrain in an old truck, but why go to lengths to camo then.

 

Are my eyes deceiving me or does that not look like a crew max? Are they shortening the backseat? Or that a different double cab set up?

 

Hard to tell with the camo, could be shortening up the crew max cab to offer a full 6ft bed.
