I’ve owned four Toyota vehicles, not counting the old 74 Celica my wife had when we got married. Never had a need for even the factory warranty.

I had a great experience with Jennifer from Wolverine. Super helpful and responsive. I’d be happy to share more via PM.

To buy or not to buy would really depend on your how long you plan to keep the truck. Toyota offers many different options for years and mileage so you’re able to buy the best fit for your needs. I believe you said you bought new which means you have time before you buy(if you end up doing that.) You can buy a Toyota EW as long as you haven’t gone over your bumper to bumper 3 years/36,000 mike warranty.

If for some reason you end up buying one and don’t use it prior to expiration and you want to sell your vehicle, you WILL get a pro-rate check from Toyota. Had that happen on a 2014 Camry. Check showed up in the mail about 2 weeks after I sold the car. Outside of the protection it’ll provide you, I believe you’re able to transfer the warranty to the next owner at no cost. So, as a seller of a used vehicle, I think it gives you a leg up having some of the warranty left. I know if I was shopping used vehicle and someone told me the vehicle had 10,000 miles or 2 years left on an EW, it would make me feel better about buying it.

Buddy of mine bought a used Tundra with around 32k miles and extended the warranty to 120k miles (platinum) but what's weird is the finance guy said he could come back in and extend it again upon inspection. :der:

I bought a Toyota so I wouldn’t have to worry about buying a warranty.

I am well into my second decade driving Toyotas, and the decision has never been a bad one.
