Please tell me this is covered by a cap or tonneau. If not, ewwwww! Meaning it’s gonna be real nasty the second it gets wet.

I have a folding tonneau cover. I have actually hosed it out. I does dry quickly. It's not carpet.
Bedliners like linex are nice.. But I'm not a ranch hand. I am the "family member" that has a pickup. Furniture, mulch, Costco, plants, washer kinda thing. Dog likes it too. It's amazing but you have to look deeper at the product to understand it. Even had acid and gasoline on it.. No problem. Doesn't fade, chip, allow dents in bed. It will NOT cooperate with a forklift and pallet loading if they slide a load in though.

    Enjoy.

I looked at many of the first responses. Spray in, whether linex or other. No drop in. Is that unanimous? Bed carpet/rug might be ok. I do not know about it.

LineX, no question. Bed rugs are nice also but stuff gets caught in the little bit of nap there is and can be a PITA to get out.

I have a bedrug as well, but I also have a TonnoPro cover to keep the elements from trying to get between the rug and the bed walls. The bed rug is awesome, easy to clean and resists about everything you can throw at it. But yeah, LineX is also an awesome product for sure.

When I bought my mine, the bed was already done in LineX and it's really nice stuff. Then, with the Leer canopy that has carpeting in it, I was either going to add a bed slide, or the full BedRug kit. Wasn't quite ready to give up one of my kidneys for the bed slide, so I opted for the BedRug. I have to say, it's really a great setup. If I need to haul messy stuff, I have a 5x8 utility trailer for that. Otherwise, we use the truck for basic hauling, like weekly HomeDepot runs, and hauling camping gear to the cabin on the weekends.

I did bullet. Like it. Supposedly same as line x but cheaper. AFTER install the guy said something about UV can fade. I was like sob that was already included in the base bullet package so why telling me this and telling me now. So too early to tell if will fade same or different than a line x premium. It's doing great and I love it.

Also they were able to remove the plastic plugs in the front bed wall prior to applying. Not everyone does that. Just fyi so you know it can be done if you want it.
I was also glad I had bed bolts removed before application but likely will never need to access them anyways.

Things to consider even w line x

Drop in's deform in the hot summers here in Las Vegas. Spray in is much better.

If I had the funds I would go Linex. If I was on a budget, I would put in a heavy duty rubber mat. I really never cared if the bed paint got scratched up. Its a truck after all and could always Line X it later. Our Tundra came with the Line X but I am adding a rubber bed mat to keep stuff from sliding around.

No but they make masonite and sell it at home depot for like $14 a sheet. If you need slick just lay that in your truckbed. That stuff is smoother than a baby's butt. I use it all the time to move furniture.

Question for the bedrug guys. Do you have the factory bed rail system? If so, did the bedrug interfere w it. How thick are the side panels? Do you just have to poke holes in it to re mount the bed rail system?

I don’t have rails, but the instructions indicate to trim the top edge of the side and front panels to accommodate them, however, if I had rails I would pull them off and not trim the panels, then put the rails back on over the rug. It would only make it more difficult to remove the bed rug for cleaning, but I don’t intend to remove mine. Cleans up real easy with a shop vac.

I ended up cutting a hole lined up with the bolt for the rail goes. Took a few extra minutes, but it worked out rather nice.

Funny...I'm a fan of drop-in bed-liners. I've probably had about 6 pick-up trucks. All but one (Line X) had a drop-in liner. I've never ever ever ever had an issue with rust, the liner moving around, etc.

Going on 30+ years of driving trucks, 20+ with drop ins. No problems for me. I like how things slide in and out on the hard plastic. Never had a spray in, maybe things slide easily too??

I’ve had both and I like Linex the best, the main problem I have with the drop ins is it is hard to get to the tie downs in the bed and if you load your bed with dirt sand or mulch it gets between the plastic liner and the bed and the liner needs pulled and cleaned all the time also if you go with plastic drop in I’d go with an under the rail liner just easier to pull and clean. Having drop ins, Rhino and Linex I prefer Linex the most.

Had LineX on my 20 year old F-150. The bed is the only part of the entire truck that doesn't have any rust!
