I can’t seem to get mine seated in the connector tightly. Like the base of the bulb is too much.

Ok, I must have had a defective set. One went in as advertised and the other felt secure. Barely moved and it fell into the headlight (I got it out). Going to return and maybe ask for a new set.

Looking at these as well to confirm they function normally without the resistors? I have an 18’ with led headlights.

Yes, I have an ‘18 as well with LED headlights, no resistors were required for the FRONT turn signals. They were however necessary on the rear turn signals.

There was something ultra satisfying about that instant on/off when I got my JDMs installed. Now I’m trying to find read blinkers with resistors built in.

TRD rear sway bar, console organizer, stubby antenna, LEDs for cabin, cargo, license plate, and reverse lights, power-fold mirrors, Westin nerf bars, full stereo upgrade. Future - color-match grill surround/bulge, mirror caps, handles, plasti-dip badges.
I'm sold. I just ordered a pair of the JDM Astars. I replaced all interior bulbs with LEDs (besides the map lights) already and also did the reverse lights and cargo lights. Haven't done anything with brakes.

I think it's nice. Seeing the LED headlights with a throwback to the regular halogen gas blinkers. Relish in the fact that the Tundra is still old school. My Audi has every new piece of tech, and it gets old. I also love the non led interior lighting as well if that makes sense to where I'm coming from. I'm also late 20s and like the vibe.

I installed the JDM ASTAR 1260 Lumens Extremely Bright PX Chips 7440 7441 7443 7444 Amber Yellow Turn Signal LED Bulbs and could not be happier. Much brighter than the original bulbs and no hyper flash. I also installed JDM ASTAR 1200 Lumens Extremely Bright 144-EX Chipsets 7440 7441 7443 7444 992 LED Bulbs with Projector For Backup Reverse Lights, Xenon White in the back up lights. Both sets of LEDS work great.

I dropped a regular bulb into the headlight and had a beast of a time getting it out. Finally went old school with something sticky at the end of a screwdriver in order to snag it. No way was I going to take off the whole grill to get to the housing. How did you get your bulb out?

After reading this thread, I check the blinkers on my new 19 Tundra. Definitely needs upgraded blinker light bulbs. I cannot believe they put these old style bulbs in the new LED light. You can barely see them when the lights are on. I ordered the JDM Astars.

What I don't understand is that some are listing the JDM Astar 7440 7441 7443 7444 Amber Yellow Turn Signal LED Bulbs as the bulb for the 18 and 19 Tundras but its showing "does not fit" on Amazon and other sites that I found.

The one that fit according to what I found was the JDM ASTAR 3057 3156 3157 4057 4157 Amber Yellow Turn Signal LED Bulbs. So I ordered these.

Update : The JDM ASTAR 3057 3156 3157 4057 did not fit. 19 Tundra with LED headlights. Ordering the JDM Astar 7440 7441 7443 7444 like others. Should have listened to the Tundra owners not Amazon fitment system.

Regarding the switchbacks , has anyone tied the Headlight Revolution White/Amber switchbacks? I would like to add something like this to my '17.

    Amazon lies.

The link I posted above are to the exact ones I ordered, and they fit great.

Thanks for the info. I figured that was the case based on the fact others used those too. Most were 2018's but I did some research and the headlights are basically the same between the two model years. I guess more than one model of that bulb fits.

I could see that by some of the video's posted. Seems like a bad design and/or a bad choice of stock bulb by Toyota. The stock one isn't even LED from what I can tell.

I have a '19 Limited with the LED headlight front. I guess some models have a different headlight assembly that is not LED and takes a different bulb. I found out the hard way when I ordered the Antline 3157 then found out that I needed the JDM 7440 instead because of my truck's LED headlight 'upgrade' over the standard assembly. So the bulb varies depending on what headlight assembly you have. But yea, Amazon said that both wouldn't fit, LOL they were half right.
