Chrome Delete Covers for Tundra Bumpers - BumperShellz

Same I'm dreading it.

 

Installation about to start

 

Package delivered to Toronto today at 8:36am.

 

Our cover slips between the black plastic and the chrome so it's sandwiched in the middle. You shouldn't have to do any trimming

 

Interested to see how difficult the installation is with the sensor holes...

 

Within the next couple of days, almost all of you stock-color order guys will have your BumperShellz delivered! So stoked! I’m interested as well. Should be simple enough I imagine. Sadly I won’t have the time to install for a couple weeks.

And final result. I am Extremely pleased with the gloss white. You can’t even tell the difference at all. It’s a great match! The installation took about 2 hrs. I got stuck on the part i asked @EC1 about lol and realized that it slips in between the black plastic part. However i did have to replace the 10mm screws with some longer ones as the original ones didn’t fully tighten. Other than that no problems to report. Everything fit good and thanks to the guys i did remove the plastic after installation to avoid being damaged. Thank you again @EC1 for making this happen. My Project Dechrome is finally coming together. Final will be the chrome grille removal.

 

Mine came in today!! WOO HOO!! Only problem is that I wo t have time to do them until next wk!! :’(

Got my TPO rears today and will install tomorrow - if I don't go fishing. Life has priorities, and fishing is near the top!

 

Cements are being painted today and tomorrow. We should have the first orders out tomorrow with the rest going out Friday. We have to wait a day after we get them back for the clear coat to fully cure so we can nib and polish. I'll post pics of the parts when I grab them from the painter

There are some great you tube videos on the installation of these covers. I know the OEM covers come with longer bolts for the front, not sure if this brand does or not but just something for the OP to consider....

 

Got mine today! just need to open the box and check them. I woke up because my dog was barking at the delivery guy. I grabbed the package off the door step and went back to sleep.

 

Mine shipped!! Can't wait to finish the chrome delete!

For anyone that has installed these already. Is the fog light still accessible to be removed or would you have to remove the bumper cover first?

 

You would have to remove liner in the wheel to disconnect then u should be able to wiggle it out without removing bumper covers

 

Actually I’ll rephrase this since I didn’t give the whole description. I’m replacing the entire fog light and bezel. And replacing it with an aftermarket light pod with an oem style bezel. This requires the bezel to be removed. Which means it has to be removed forward and not from behind.

I got my TPO in and installed them that night. 48 hrs later, and they appear to be solid and ready to hit highway speeds.
The install wasn't too challenging. Once I broke the silly bracket that holds the inner fender, it went smoothly. Good thing Roman has those for about $13/ea.

 

Well mine were supposed to come today, but looks like UPS has bigger issues...
