Had this happen to me at Toyota of poway. Really nice model Tacoma was posted for sale and at a great price. I went in and was told the price I saw was for the base 2wd version.

 

shit i'd fight them to the death on that one. assholes posted a trd pro for that price; they'd better honor it or i pay a squad of kids to hold fraud posters in front of their driveway for a week until they sold it to me @ that price. nothing would get em more pissed than people turning away.

 

Depending on the state that is illegal.
In California they’d have to honor that price for that truck if it was still available.

 

Here is where I smell a problem.
I'm not the most up to date on new Tundras but I think SR5 should be cheaper than Pro. Also the Limited are $54k.

 

Same in Washington.

 

I'm not sure what the actual law says, but here in Oregon dealers usually have some small print on their websites that say they aren't responsible for typos or unintended pricing, which of course is total BS because they can just pull this crap and default to saying it was a typo.

 

I just checked their website and its listed. Go on there and get a quote through their pricing portal and have them email it to you. The VIN and stock # are below. If you're in the market I would hold them to the advertised proce.

I e-mailed them and asked if it was available at the listed price. I will post their response.

 

All they would have to say is that one sold it was some sort of promotion they had going and it’s no longer available. But wait we do still have 2 pros in stock for great deals hahaha. This is breaking no law not in Cali no where. If it’s sold how can they sell it to you?? It’s not lying persay it’s more stretching the truth haha.

 

Yeah its a specific one but since they provide the VIN he can verify if they actually sold it.

 

Yeah that would be the only way. Matching VINs then there is trouble for the dealership for sure

Looks like the actual MSRP is $52,143, so fat fingered by exactly $10,000... Hell, if they'll sell it for MSRP that's doing better than most places! LOL

I'm in CO, I called the dealership. No sales people in yet. The lady that answeree the phone had no clue on pricing lol. They took my info waiting on a call back.

I got my 2015 Platinum last June for just under $42k. Had 33k miles on it. Not the newest truck, but I thought it was a killer deal!

 

It seems legit. Just got off the phone with sales. It's used, some dude brought it to get a more family oriented vehicle


...I still can't believe it. I'm tempted to buy it lol

 

Hate to poo on your thoughts. But I picked up a 2016 Platinum 4x4 (Certified Pre Owned) a couple months ago with 30k miles on it for 38k from a dealer in Tennessee.

 

Is it maybe used?

 

It's the old trick of: Yes, that is the price with all applicable rebates. If you qualify for all those rebates and discounts, you may get that price.
Or the: Yes, that's the price. Keep in mind that we have to add the ____ surcharge, the market adjustment rate, the etc etc.
