What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Just throw a gold fish in there and turn them into fish tanks just kidding, sorry man that’s shitty! Good excuse to upgrade though.

Tried looking through the graphics on their website but didn't see the TRD Off-Road or even anything Toyota. Did you have to call them to have that put on?

 

Yeah give them a call and ask them for the code. They have a variety of TRD logos. I think they will actually email you the sheet and you can pick what you want.

 

Isn't it under warranty?

 

I had to remove my front fender liner to fit my tires so I’m thinking this was a result of that. I’m thinking a Baja Design’s pod will hold up better in that area.

What did you use to black out your grill? Has the coating on the grill and steps been pretty durable? Or do you have to reapply for chips and discoloring, etc.. Looks awesome!

 

That’s the same mount I used for my Smittybilt. You will 100% have to rotate pump head. I also had to shorten mount legs by about 2 inches.

Yep, that's perfect. I'm glad someone finally has a black Tundra with chrome, that has gone with the black rebounds, been looking for that combo for awhile. I'm fixing to order the same wheel and tire, except I'm going with 285/70's. I'm keeping my suspension stock.

Awesome! You are going to love it. This is exactly the look I wanted. The only downfall is it makes me want to paint my calipers. Which isn’t the end of the world.

This is all an experiment. Less that $75 total and I can just through it into the Swing Case if I fail at mounting it.

 

The grill was black from factory.. this was awhile ago, so I don’t really recall what I used. But the steps chipped a little so I need to resray with something better. Luckily they were already black, so ya can’t really tell lol

 

Thanks! If you climb under you'd sesee lots of surface rust that need attention but for the most part it's pretty good. Fluid film is my friend, it's all dry now though cuz its been over a year. I'm a little anal about it if you can believe it. I do need to get under there with a wire brush and rattle can this summer. Then I'll spray a coat of fluid film everywhere.

Love it. I got my dad the Ronin 50 cal antenna for Father's Day last year. It turns heads like crazy and he always gets asked about it!
