Getting closer to making a decision on a front offroad bumper but if you know me i have to research to find the best one that will look and perform the best.
What i really want is one that covers the whole bumper area and doesn't leave the top plastic bumper on. Most i have seen you have to keep that.

I would get an @Relentless one if he had a 2nd Gen to build it.

I can tell you that there are not many bumpers built the way ours are. All of our in house products are made with 4130 chromoly steel. Most of them tig welded (our Tundra bumpers are 100% TIG welded) and 100% We had a Tundra out at our local offroading area run into a boulder about twice the size of the truck at 50mph. Only damage was bent side tube and fiberglass damage.

If you have any questions, let me know.

Edit: We can also do side filler skid plates like we did on our shop build. See our shop truck build.

I am really hoping for a front bumper that does not require the stock top plastic bumper piece.
I have the RW all plastic single piece front bumper so I would have to cut it. Really just don't like the look of it there.

Also don't want a front diaper. Too big is ugly to me. The magnum and M1 are too big and the Fab fours is way too big.

The demello one is just about perfect for what I am looking for. Really like the relentless 3rd gen one. Might be a battle between the two.

I'm thinking the same thing. Low profile plate bumper. The only one for a second gen that comes close is the demello. I don't plan on fender flares though and don't really like how far it APPEARS to stick out on the sides. Haven't seen one in person though.

I've seen both the SDHQ and the ADD Lite in person and they are by far my favorites of the group. But I'm also a wannabe who likes tube bumpers but would rather crawl expo trails and tip-toe down streams.... :bananadead: Someday I'll get cool and build something worth pre-running. @sdhq_offroad is magnificent though. I was blown away by the quality. It's more expensive, but worth it if you get dirty.

I've also seen the Smitty, really great welds, really great lines. It adds a lot to the trucks overall appearance if you like plate bumpers.

I am a fan of the plate bumpers. The tube bumpers can look good if they have fill in plates. Just don't like the open areas where you see hardware and rivet welds. Unclean to me.

Damn that is not an easy choice. Anxious to see what Relentless has in store. But I've heard nothing but great things also with SDHQ.

If the Road Armor and Fab Fours plate bumpers weren't so god-awful heavy, I'd want one for mine. I'd think a 280 lb bumper would make even 700 lb coils sag pretty noticeably.

I like the one from Demello the best I think? The magnum is nice to. A little bit big maybe. I have the magnum rear, it's pretty nice. Well made, fits great. It's not super heavy duty but not super heavy either. Doesn't look like 3/16 inch plate like they say, although I haven't put calipers on it. My eye says it's more like 1/8 including the powder coat. But it's still way better than the flimsy stocker.

Yeah I don't have much use for having a winch bumper right now. 280 is still plenty though.

ICI Magnum looks good. I think only looks big with smaller lift and maybe stock wheels.

Anyone ever try those move DIY bumpers? Those look pretty good, you get them at a fraction of the coast but you gotta be handy with a welder and metal fabrication.

Anyone try these Westin HDX bumpers? CARID has them buy the front and get the rear free for $1599.00

I know that Westin typically makes stuff that my grandpa would buy but these are a different product from what they usually put out.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger and they are on the way. Got the matching side steps, the 20" and 10" LED lights for the front bumper / bull bar, and got the Westin 12,500 winch with the steel cable. The rear bumper comes with the backup lights.

All said and done was $2600.00 for everything with free shipping and no tax and Military Discount.

So far I have not found anyone who has purchased these.

There are a couple of videos on Youtube from their Sema show booth but they have them on a FORD (Found On Road Dead). They are pretty heavy gauge steel and powder coated. Found only this one pic of them on a Tundra.

They offer the "Prerunner" round bar that bolts on instead of the Bull that accepts the 20" LED light bar. I went with the Bull.

CARiD HOSED ME> I called last week to check stock on the Westin HDX stuff that they offer before I placed the order and was told that it was all in stock. So I pulled the trigger on everything from the HDX line for my truck. I find out today that they are knowingly selling the Westin HDX products that are out of stock and have over a two month back order wait time. IM PISSED. I paid them through PayPal and its going to be least two weeks before I get my cash back from them.

I tried to find alternative bumpers through them and they have absolutely nothing for Tundras that they can get their hands on without taking at least two to three weeks if not more and nothing available form suppliers that make both front and rear bumpers or matching side steps. These guys should have their butts kicked for not telling people that what they sell is not in stock and that there is that long of a lead or back order wait time. :annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed:
