I don’t have the patience or the time to pleasure myself 10 times a day to read about what’s going on over here. The only way I can actually surf the site is to use a Tor based browser which makes it a hassle to login and such. Happens both at my home WiFi and work WiFi. The curiosity will probably kill me. But I’ll survive just independently off-roading with my SGU buddies.

PS that’d be a sin.

Yeah. Kinda get in a certain mindset when I log in to this forum. Lotta guys acting like they're only talking to other guys. The Shenanigans thread is blessedly tame and family-friendly-- other parts not so much. Guess I forgot where I was.

Well hopefully the bikes were just props on the truck from FOX to demonstrate the potential the vehicle has. I stand by my comment about three matching Spec bikes screams FanBoi/Newb.
In the group I ride with, a lot of us have Banshee bikes, but none of us have the same model and most are different colors... Also, this is a boutique brand, not the "Big-S".

Has anyone painted bumper caps with the bumper still on the truck? Starting project de-chrome and I know that me trying to remove the bumper myself would somehow end in disaster/cursing.

 

I'm gonna be doing something similar soon. I believe some have Plastidipped while still on vehicle

 

Who in the world said installing sliders was easy??? I put 2 bolts in and quit already... these things are to dayum heavy and my low profile jack didn’t even reach

 

It is a PITA, but you could use a 6 x 6 wood block or something I talk to Jack, or borrow a second Jack from a neighbor or buddy, and run a wood block between the two, that would be steadier. (Full disclosure: I had help from a brawny buddy, his teenaged son, and a jack, and it still kicked our asses. It took several hours but we did eventually win.)

 

Those are definitely not a jacks @fisherman951 . Looks like something that came in a kids toy set. Just kidding!! If you need some help I’m not busy.

 

It’s not worth it. Just give up and give them to me. I’ll dispose of them for you

You need to spread your jack stands out, add another jack stand and take @Sunnier ’s advice with a piece of wood on your floor jack.

Flying solo you’ll need to go slow, make the tools work for you the best you can to get the sliders as close as possible.
Once you have a few bolts in the job gets easier from there (aside from moving lines out of the way and the hard to reach bolts)
