Yeah he did great work. He does great work. A little older and reminds me of a cantankerous grandpa, so don't get offended if he's not overwhelming you with sunshine and lollipop customer service hah. He is not a big fan of two tone work (too much of a PITA) anymore but I bet I can get him to begrudgingly agree to it.

    Black - Skid plate

Black textured - Rock Sliders. He did these twice for me since the first time he did them they were glossy and smooth.

TRD Red - tow hooks, bed cleats, rear diff skid, abs protectors.

I thinking of having him touch up my sliders, tow hook and rear diff skid where they took a beating so I can stay ahead of rust. So let me know if you decided on these colors I might chunk them in and we can save some $'s

Put Platinum leather, AC seats and dual climate and I'm in. Otherwise I'm a Platinum guy happy doing my own suspension. However, given round 2 I'd do exactly what @TuFerLife did no questions asked.

lol no worries i was going to pick your brain on it. Suspension wasn't something I was considering changing yet or if at all, so I was curious why you went that route. all good dude!

Yes to the ac seats, and honestly I would have had more anxiety about the kids doing kids stuff all over that sexy leather. And to be honest. I'm too OCD for dual climate. I like the numbers to match. My wife pointed that out when I was comparing the Plat to the Pro. "It's not like you'll ever let me change the temperature anyway so what's the point"...I learned something about myself in that conversation.

For me it came down to it was cheaper to start at a pro and go ac seats than it was to start at a platinum and get to the pro set up that I liked.

    What did @TuFerLife do?

    TRD Sport:
    -already color matched
    -Hood scoop
    -$37-38K OTD
-Katskin with AC/heat. They FAR outperform the Platinum AC fan and are more comfortable/higher quality. $2500 and he got to pick colors etc.
After that the guy still has $8k to play with to be at Platinum OTD costs.

I'd agree except I didn't want Pro suspension or to have to upgrade seats in a truck I pay $48-51k for. As much as I drive seat comfort is probably priority #1 which really changes my direction of thought from most and I realize this. The TRD Pro/limited seats just don't cut it for me. So round 2 Id still get the Platinum or go TRD Sport before TRD pro.

I’m torn between the Platinum and the Pro, so I’m making my Platinum look like a pro. I’m a “proser”.

Agreed. Everything the Platinum has plus keyless entry and push start. Love the keyless entry and hate the push start. Win some/lose some

I have never had the push start so I can’t say if I like it or not. I was just happy to have key and fob in one.

If I was really freaking smart I’d go this route 4 wheel plus v8 5.7. For that to where I’m at now I could be LT flying off dunes in Michigan, right @Hattori ??

I kid about LT...I think. But it makes more $ sense to start at sr5 and go. But I do have to say I was in push start for 5 years and I loved it. Doors unlocked and locked on the door handle. I absolutely loved it. I hate having crap on my pockets and it was great just to stuff my keys on my work bag and not fool with it.

Ok guys it’s getting to crunch time. I can bring it back with me on the plane or have it shipped with all my stuff either way it’s free. Does any one want anything from Hawaii? Things people usually ask me to send..
    Coffee or coffee beans
    Chocolate
    Macadamias Nuts

Disclaimer I will not bring back or mail lava rock. Shits bad luck you should see the piles of them outside the post office from people who mail them back
