Hey everyone..........Been on the forum a few months and never got around to posting pics of my truck. I have had it just over a year and LOVE it. It is my daily driver, tow rig and off-road toy. As the heading states, it is still under construction and probably always will be. I don't have a lot of time to work on it, but have a passion to try to design and build everything myself. I work out of a very small garage at home with a lot of hand tools, sawzall, grinders, chop saw, 120v flux-cored wire feed welder etc, etc. I build patterns with cardboard 1st, wood paneling 2nd, then onto the metal. I am part-way blind in one eye from leukemia I battled with, so my welding is not great. If it is structural, I tack weld it myself and take it to a shop for final welding. Not everyone will like my mods, but that's what makes this world a great place, we all have different choices and opinions. I am not very good on the computer and have an old digital camera. Hope the pics are OK. I am old school and still use a flip-phone. Never got around to getting a smart phone. Here is a list of some of the details of my build. Hope you enjoy as much as I enjoy all the posts in this great forum.

    2015 SR5 CM 4x4 with SR5 upgrade pkg.
Interior : Seat covers and ESP underseat storage
Wheels : Came stock steel, bought used TRD and had them powdered coated

Front Suspension : TRD PRO Bilstein resevoir shocks
Rear Suspension : TRD PRO Bilstein resevoir shocks, Firestone Air bags with homemade mounts
Bumpers : Homemade front and rear ( still under const. )
    Diffs : 4:88 gears
Speedo : Hypertech speedo correction calibrator
Exhaust : Stock muffler, homemade side exit tailpipe with 2-3/4" SS mandrel bends
Compressor : ARB twin cyl on homemade mount, 2) 2-1/2 gallon frame mounted reservoirs
Future plans : I lay awake at night thinking what to do next............

Yes an exhaust ring will be in the works down the road. I will need to fab it also because the mounting surface on the bed is not flat. I have been doing upgrades on our travel trailer because desert season is soon here. We use our trailer year round, but dry camping in the desert requires more water, so I added an additional 40 gallons of water tank. Truck projects are hit and miss.

Thanks Ron........I take pride in all my work and really have a passion for building things unique.
Thank you too Paul. I once cut the roof off a brand new Toyota Tacoma to make it a convertible, so a little hole-saw and sawzall work doesn't scare me anymore. Appreciate the comment though.

Hey Guys thanks for the comments. I did spend a lot of time on designing the exhaust. I stayed with the OEM sized tailpipe and was able to track down the 2-3/4" SS mandrel bent tubing. ( Tricky finding that size ). I kept that size for performance reasons and the fact the truck is just as quiet as stock. I am at that age where I like quiet. I then made a pattern out of pvc piping and a lot of measuring, then built a jig with plywood and 2x4's ( kinda crude but it worked ). Once the jig was made I did more measuring and began the cutting on the SS tubing. Not sure if any of you do much fab, but my Dad always said : Measure twice and cut once. Especially with the cost on this odd sized tubing, I measured three times. I still need to make a trim piece to finish off the bed side. If any of you mess with your exhaust through the body, be sure your opening in the body is large enough for movement and expansion as it heats up. Thanks again for the kind words....

That size of tire looks good man, if variety was a little better I'd of considered it over the 295/70's I got. Love the exhaust as well.

Never cut yourself short. My Dad was a design engineer for 48 years on projects like the Space shuttle and Tomahawk cruise missile etc. I got some of his engineering mind, but not close to his knowledge. Just put your mind to it and give it a try Jose. Worst scenario, you fail and try again.
