It looks like I'm over the specified range. What am I missing?

Edit- are you saying I have too much? I thought you meant I needed more.

Everything I've seen the the 1st gen trucks suggests the upper end for caster in your case 2.1°.

They can nail it by centering the lower cams then getting it close by turning the star washer on the upper arm. Then using the lower cams to dial it in correctly.

Although if it drives well and you don't notice any abnormal tire wear it's probably fine.

Well if the project isn't absolutely "fun" to you, I'd say your time is worth more than the $200.
You are leaving out of the equation that the $400 includes (hopefully) years of experience doing just this very thing. Experience usually = better end result. Is nicer final result day in & day out worth more than "I did that!" to you?

I was not expecting this to cost so much.

Can you go aftermarket on these?

Personally I’ve had spotty luck with aftermarket abs sensors. But Napa usually sells abs sensors that mostly work

    drove it.
… and did a final review of my rear-end pumpkin repair, ready to call it fixed. Looked under the truck & shiny puddle was looking back at me. Hasn't leaked all week but after 2 brisk 40 minute drives I've got a medium/large pin hole leaking. parked it, put a drip pan under it, deal with it later.

I'm now wondering if the rear breather is clogged? Both times the rear started leaking was after a long spirited high speed drive.

Very nice. The Icons handle the big bumps a lot better and the steering response is certainly better with the new rack bushings.

Once I get in front of a computer I'll post more.

Washed it finally after a few rainstorms had come through while the wife was driving it last week and I don't think I'd posted a picture since Plasti dipping the front grill chrome and the side mirror caps. Getting into DIY detailing after making the mistake of reading the "Ask the Detailer" thread in that section, one huge con is that it made me realize just how bad the paint on the truck is. Think the PO definitely left the truck outside 100% of the time resulting in a chalky and yellowing clear coat, and it had been in a fender bender before I bought it which resulted in a new front left quarter panel, hood and bumper (and driver door that wasn't replaced but think they probably re-painted and clear coated due to over spray) that the body shop couldn't quite color match perfectly (probably because the rest of the truck was outside so much). It's really hard to see the difference normally, but in the right lighting it will stand out. I've got a clay mitt and IronX coming but that will be as much of a rescue as I'm going to attempt on it, I'm already eyeing 3rd Gens that I'm likely going to replace it with next summer-ish and all in all, it's really not bad looking for a 13 year old truck.

The only way to fix the leak is weld a new pumpkin on. When your driving the gear oil is being thrown at that cover with a lot of force.

Stopped by NAPA today. They are $160. I think I might as well pony up for OEM.

After I picked the truck up yesterday I'm now having an issue where the ABS is kicking on as I come to a stop. I had them hook up their fancy SnapOn diagnostic tool and the left front wheel speed censor was showing some weird behavior on the graph while the other 3 were the same. The ABS light isn't on though.

2 things. either the wire sheilding has gone bad and is getting interferance, or theres something stuck/broke on the tone ring which is part of the axle.

One gallon of fairly dark stuff. I think that the best stuff for cleaning was the brush attached to the drill. It really got stuff out of the cloth, and carpet cleaner just sucked out the dirt.

I was able to really clean my cloth seats well with just a rough rag and some 505 degreaser. Used some clean water to wipe off the residue. Once dried, I sprayed some PB Blaster Silicone with Teflon on the seats and they stay real clean. Stains wipe off easy. Dust is repelled. Cheap. Makes for sliding in and out of the truck easier too!
