It should. I have a 7+ with a mophie battery case and it fits perfect with a little wiggle room.

I’d love to do this, but I can’t even get my phone to charge through a case. I know it won’t work for me through all that plastic.

I did this a couple weekends ago with the 3 coil charger. It works for my Note 5, but I have to take my case off and it slides around so it'll go in and out of a charge. I'm getting a new case for Christmas, so hopefully that'll help.

How fast does that pad charge? I think hidden is cool. But this is certainly clean.. did you hardwire or just plug into USB outlet?

I did this mod a few weeks ago and it works... but just ok. Not with some cases and the phone slides out of the charging zone. But I just placed an order for one of these and I'm really excited about the potential... Says it can charge through tables 1.5" thick. And its large at 6.25".

Nothing yet. Plan to 3/2 lift, partial chrome delete, rims and tires.
Can you update how the new one works when you get it in?

I did this in my center console... ended up using a single coil wireless charger I already had, zip tied it on the underside of the console to hold in place, bought the HOMREE DC Converter, tapped into the rear power of the console, added anti slip tape to the area, closed everything back up and it works great! No wires are visible and it works through my Otterbox Commuter case. Thanks for the ideas!!

Great, glad to help out! It’s kind of funny that it works with my Otterbox Commuter case but not with my wife’s POS case that she buys because she’s got to have a ‘pretty’ one.

LOL thats funny! I have the same case and it works awesome on mine. I mounted mine a liitle farther back so if it slide forward it drops the connection. Going to order a set of these to see if it keeps from moving and still charges, before moving it forward more. https://www.amazon.com/Auovo-Anti-dust-2014-2019-Interior-Accessories/dp/B07KBS5RH1?th=1

I bought these and cut them into rectangles. Strategically placed 4 rectangles and my phone doesn’t move.

20190713_091625.jpg Great DIY, I modified my 2017 Tundra Crew Max following these directions, worked great! Took one hour start to finish. I totally removed the armrest it was easier to work on. Biggest hassle was removing all the little screws that held on the cover. I used a zip saw to remove the plastic , worked like a charm, then glued and taped everything in place.

To those that used the choetech 3 coil charger, how are they holding up? They have good reviews on Amazon but all the recent reviews are terrible

Mine has been awesome! Wish I did the mod earlier no more wires and charges faster then with cord on android turbo even thru the otterbox thick case. i need to still get the rubber inserts to keep it from sliding around but charges no matter where it is. i did the hot glue in beginning but texas heat made me used the jb weld plastic stuff with not issues.

Good to hear! Ya I wasn’t sure if the hot glue would hold up in Texas heat, I was gonna plan on taping it too for extra security. Also wanted to hard wire it to the back side cig lighter so it’s clean with no wires at all. Does the JB weld make it pretty permanent if the charger does happen to crap out and a replacement is needed?

https://www.jbweld.com/collections/plastic-composite-pvc/products/minuteweld this is what i used. i have used it before on other things non truck related and removed it with exacto knife or dremel wheel. i hard wired mine in just like @cslax35 did to rear cig lighter. (see previous post)

So I did this mod, directions were great. I used the Qi Wireless Fast Charging Pad Station Mat 10W, the first one worked for a week. The second on two days. Hard to return as removing them takes a lot of cutting. Think to try one more time. Sounds like I need to try the Choetech .

I haven't had any problems with my Choetech - it's only been on for 3 weeks, but others have had theirs longer.

9 months, my 3-coil Choetech works fine, but I prefer my wired 27W Aukey, 50% charge in 30min.
