That's about all the "drama" the san g trip sees. Such a great group of people who show!
Oh and my buddy was drunk and trying to break open a log for more firewood (because it was so cold) and accidentally mistook my other friends really low charcoal grill for a rock and hulk smashed the log over his grille! THAT was hilarious!
Also the grille owner was a little upset but not really as it had wobbly legs and needed replacing anyways.

Sorry, y'all I just woke up. Mike, thank you for that friendly introduction.

This over here is @Pinay, which means a woman of Filipino origin or descent. Her name in "Real Life" is Monet... which, she explained, is not pronounced like the French 'Moh-nay", but is pronounced, 'Mo-neT'. 'Cause she's not French.

Edit: I included this definition because there are so very few Filipinos in the SoCal Shenanigans group . Hint: all of us!

Monet is one of our comparatively few females that hang out on the T.c forum (also, possibly the friendliest, learning-est, most enthusiastic!). She joined not terribly long ago but jumped in everywhere, met everybody, plays and has a good time without pissing people off. So she quickly got to a winner's circle number of posts. She saaaaays she works for a living-- in the courts-- but no one believes her; I mean, she's always on here-- ain't no workin' fool got time for this.

She joined up with a black BADASS-unless-you-look-close-enough-to-see-the-*spacer lift* Tundra... then started learning about suspension and... next thing we knew... .... she went out to Las Vegas to hang with Matt at MCM while he installed ADS and Deavers! Now her truck really is bad-ass!!

Since then, she's been working on building a proper camping rig, learning as she goes, and assembling and modding attachments to get everything installed. I struggled with the kb Voodoo rack when I got mine, but she acted like she'd ordered from IKEA and it was no big thing. So far, I haven't heard much slow her down, so I'm excited to see what she does with that beautiful truck in the DIRT!

I happened to be paying attention one night (the week before our recent Cleghorn run) and read one of the mods expressing how tired he was of all the behind-the-scenes drama he deals with as a mod... and Monet responded with an offer to fill in for him any day he wanted her to....

I met Monet in person for the first time at the Cleghorn run. I could see, we are meant to be drinking buddies, and Monet started without me 'cause I'd worked the night before, napped about 5 hours over 2 days, and still had to make it home to SD after... so I have some catching up to do when we hit camp. We hit it off and swapped phone numbers, so now we share gossip as many as 30 seconds before it gets posted online.

I just wanna say, she's a lot TALLER than I imagined. Which is pretty funny because, she's not at all tall.

She's just not as tiny as all her posts about how she climbed into her formerly 6" lifted truck made it sound.

Anyway, soon after our Cleghorn after-meet, MoneT's phone stared blowing up. I personally believe she was a bit toasted and that might have influenced her decision-making... ... but, anyway, she agreed to become an official mod for T.c. Since then, as far as I can tell, I'm the only one undaunted by her Power....
LOL!! (Gotta keep one friend close.)

Monet travels everywhere with her best friend, Lady Gaga, who wears a fabulous waistcoat and discernible patience in all circumstances. She's a bit curvy, like most gals our age (still talking about Lady Gaga), and obviously well taken care of. She'll deign to put up with you (again, Lady Gaga ) if you swing by Momma's campsite, #41.

So yeah, I'm on this forum sometimes, learning about how badly lifted my truck was and how to make it better, so it took me a long time to even think about being ready for any dirt, let alone a mall crawl to meet anyone from here.
So yes, got improved suspension put in from Matt himself at @M C M in fabulous Las Vegas, and anyone who is close enough to drive should do the same!
Not long after install I was anxious to get on dirt for a real-world test so I found myself organizing my first meet - Tundras to Big Bear! Which was attended by quite a few lovely, great and wonderful people, but for the moment I will introduce....Jake! @CaptSpaulding
"Jake from State Farm? He sounds hideous!" jk!!
When I first started talking to Jake his avatar was the well-known Captain Spaulding, evil clown extraordinaire! Look him up, I dare you!
But despite the menacing avatar, and being worried about showing up for the BB run in clown makeup, you will find a very kind and caring gentleman in Jake. He's very down-to-earth and helpful, more than willing to help show a fellow Tundra owner (me) how to air down and even filled up my tires back up for the ride home.
Jake showed up on the run while healing from recent shoulder surgery and drove one-armed and then not long after heading up the mountain in 2wd when his 4wd failed to engage.
He's also been taking care of his dear ole dad who is recovering from a bout of cancer, which is where I think he went to after Cleghorn? How else do good kids pay back our parents for all they do?
He's a great dog-sitter! No complaints at all from Lady Gaga! Btw, she says Hi!
Jake's also a MacGyver of sorts, fab'ing spare tire holders in his truck bed and is even helping a member (guess who) figure out a way to keep items secured in her truck bed.
He takes awesome pictures of the trail runs!! I don't know how he gets these shots, but my pics never show the sky as blue as his does.
He drinks beer! Will have to find out which one

Still getting to know a lot of the members I've met so far, but for sure I can call all of you not only friends, but family! For anyone going in Sept. be sure to stop by our camp in Space 41 and say hi and stay awhile and get to know not only Jake, but @Sunnier and Sean @15whtrd ! Just great people to know and be around and wheel with!! And Francis @Porschetech29 and Steve @TheFreshMouse will be close by with @Jackjack and the other Steve @nishibot too. I can't wait to spend more time with everyone!!

So Jake, I guess I will pass the baton to you! Introduce us to someone you know who will be at San G!
