rear view mirror switch backlighting?

I have my '07 Crewmax Limited and wonder if the garage door opener buttons, etc. on the rear view mirror are supposed to be backlit (illuminated) as I have seen on my friends '14 Tundra Platinum edition truck.
Mine aren't, see photo.
IF so, has anyone replaced the bulb(s) and how hard of a job was it?

I also have a 2007 Crewmax. I will try and remember to take a look today after work and see if mine are back lit.

 

I remembered to check last night, and mine is also not backlit. Sure seems like that would be a nice thing to have! If you figure out some way to do it, please let me know!

 

My 13's are backlit, but it's also a Platinum.

 

Thanks for checking. I am going to look into illuminating these switches and/or the possibility of switching out the '07 mirror for a newer one that IS illuminated =)!
