First off everyone has their opinion. I personally found the ride to be choppier/rode rougher with the bar. Remember, when you put the bar on you are essentially linking both sides together so when you hit a bump it's now felt on both sides. Was it a night and day ride difference? No. But if you're paying attention to it I did notice it.

What really stood out to me was my kids car seat shook a lot more when I had the rear bar on. I can't deny that it made it handle more car like but since I do a lot of highway traveling I wanted the smoothest ride possible. I also live in Central Florida where most roads are straight as an arrow.

Interesting...I'm on the fence on this as my wife and kids like the ride quality right now and I didn't want to change it. They are kinda picky. They hated the ride quality in the Tacoma as it's too "bouncy" and they are more use to cars/suvs like her 2017 Highlander lol

Any idea if it makes a difference while towing? I think a good WDH would solve the problem without a sway bar

WDH works well to distribute the load equally, but the sway bar tightens up the suspension so you’ll feel more control and less sway during towing. I tow a 7000 lb camper and have a weight distribution hitch. The difference between towing with sway bar vs towing without sway bar is huge compared to sway bar without towing. For me the rear sway bar was great, but when towing you really feel where that money went. Do it!

I have front and rear TRD sway bars. I did the rear first and drove for a while with just the rear. I loved it and made a great difference, especially on on-ramps. I then got the front. The front definitely doesn't make a drastic change as the rear did. But it for sure complements the rear bar. I always felt like after adding the rear there the front wasn't tight enough anymore and a little understeer. After adding the front, it got rid of that feeling to me. So I suggest both but if you can only get one or the other, definitely the rear. I do enjoy seeing the front poking out when I walk up too. They definitely put the TRD emblem on the sides of the bar strategically so you always see it when the wheel is turned just a little bit.

Makes a big difference in the curves. Rear tires will not wear in the outside edges.

Before I installed a RSB, the front and rear of the truck always felt like they were traveling in different directions. I guess it's something like that Kardashian feels when she runs. After installing the RSB, the front and rear wheels are in sync. Life on the road is much better with a RSB.

I installed the rear TRD sway bar on an 18 limited OR I definitely feels the difference. Also have the front not installed hoping for even better handling

Honestly I have to say I also haven’t noticed a huge difference since installing. Kind of disappointed. Can someone maybe post a picture of theirs installed so I can compare mine. I keep reminding myself it’s a truck not a Ferrari but I expected more.

Rear one is simple bolt on the frame and some clamps. I feel the difference on the highway less roll.

Oddly after removing my rear sway bar the truck didn't roll as much as I had remembered prior to installing the rear bar. I will say when installed it rolled less so you tend to go faster in the corners and it starts rolling again as you increase your speed. Perhaps that is the problem? Instead of taking corners before at 35 and rolling you are now going more like 45?

I never thought about that but thanks for sharing. I tow an enclosed trailer without a distribution hitch and the wind definitely causes sway problems. I will look into a rear swaybar!

It all depends on how you drive your truck... I turn into curves hard, and exit them under full power whenever possible. The rear sway bar helps keep everything level, and on track.
