Do NOT buy 4 tires if you go this route (nitto rg 295/70r18). Buy 3, I’ll sell you your fourth (brand new) for much cheaper than a new one

I thought about that but didn’t know how long you would be willing to hold onto it.

The 4 used sold, this new single just sitting around. No rush since I unloaded the other 4

What suspension are you on? Are you sure you will have to do all that? Coming from a guy who went stock to 285s to 35s and heading to 37s in less than 6 months. Don’t second guess what you think you will like. Cry once!

This first for sure! So many changes. I had minor trim on 295, once they made that first cut it was like a first bump, had to have more, and more, and more

Bro dealing with Trevor is worth 295s alone. He needs to unload it, you know deep down you want it and you make a friend in the process. Can't beat that transaction

Bilstein 6112 top setting with shims, 5160, coach builder +3. 35s are as big as I would ever go and even then the 295's are not far from a 35

They’re not far off. But they’re not 35s and you will know. If you can keep your own self out of your head then you are the Jedi I could never be.

I’m not sure if you will need a bmc with that set up or spacers or what. Maybe test once you get here? We all have all kinds of wheels and tires laying around.

I had same with no shims and they had to do a very small bmc to clear completely on extreme turns etc on the 295’s. It was so small I’d bet shims do it. The diff is .6 inches I believe, so shims may clear 35’s too? Mine isn’t mounted or I would say test it on his setup. I’d bet someone is running that wheels tire size combo though

So they’re actually .7 inches off. They are 34.3x11.6...that jump to 13.5 width really got me on the bmc

    Tire Size:295/70-18
    Tire Diameter:34.57 in.
    Section Width:11.73 in.

    Tire Size:35 x 12.50-18
    Tire Diameter:35.04 in.
    Section Width:13.39 in.

The difference is the width and really that's all. Maybe 1/4 of overall ground clearance. I went back and forth on this but I am sacrificing more going 35s it seems. $60+ per tire, more trimming/cutting, heavier, even worse gas milage. Just little things I know but just I try and think of everything it drives my fiancé crazy

Hahaha preach it! I do the same shit. And I always justify myself what I think is the more practical choice but I can’t get out of my own head and it nags me to death. I’m my own worst enemy. Don’t mean to make it worse for you, only hoping to avoid regerts and remorse like I went thru.

But!!! You won’t notice the weight or the gas mileage difference. Go with what you first wanted and what you will love seeing everyday when you walk up to your truck to get in. Ok I’ll stop lol

Anyone used a shop in Nashville to put a pop and lock on your tailgate? I realize it's a DIY possibility, but I'm being lazy and just want it done.

Also, Does the tailgate lock work with the remote and the lock/unlock button inside the cabin as well?

Who's selling that TRD setup? I need it!

Nice meeting every one last weekend at the meet up. I enjoyed talking with everyone and learning about their rigs. Very knowledgeable and welcoming group. The day was filled with beautiful weather, and great trail run, and some bad ass Tundras.

@lunchbox showed a lot of restraint. The guy's behavior warranted a mud stomping but I'm glad it didn't come to that. Darwin's Theory of natural selection almost played out.

I spent Sunday afternoon giving my Tundra a nice bath.

My daughter loves this song. Several times during the wash I caught myself singing "Tundra, feel the Tundra. Lightning and the Tundra, Tundra". Sorry in advance...
