Just got to room, shower, eat, bed, wore the F out

 

Nothing to see, and supervisor was working in our group, so no phone

Basically the last three cars and the rear engine (the one that helps push or stop) derailed in a curve due to cross-level (one side of rail higher than other side, so the train traveling east, the right side wheels were on the inside of rail, the left side were on the outside, the outside left snapped all the heads off the spikes and rail anchors were popped out, rail anchors are like a snap spring and go on the sides of the wood tie and prevent it from moving forward or back, all this was 5 miles total, then the train hit a concrete crossing, tore up a switch and a crossover, a section gang from Odessa and Midland were getting those pieces delivered from DFW, all we did was drive spikes down with a spike hammer and place the anchors back with a 12lb sledge hammer, 5 groups of 7 guys

 

Crap day, but at least it wasn't as bad as @ARamirez73. Countdown to Labor Day has begun. I love my job, but sometimes baby sitting the public gets really old.

Deal canceled. We got in the finance office and they tried to pull some bullshit. We told them to pound sand and left. Told the guy up front I had zero tolerance for that crap and they didn’t listen.

 

Negative. I don’t do anything anywhere I wouldn’t do if she was right next to me. I don’t do duplicity.

 

In a Bea Arthur kind of way.

 

I did get a good laugh though. Our credit score is excellent. Guy comes out with over a 5% interest rate. Says sorry, he’s stuck with Toyota financial. No other bank will finance a “lifted” truck. We tell him no dice, we could get way better with our own bank.

He leaves to go “see what he can do”. I figure his phone is on speaker so he can go listen to my wife and I from another room, so I say to her “If he can’t get below 4% we’re out of here.” (We weren’t going to buy it at all by that point, just wanted to see what happened.)

He comes back in, and says “They told me I can go 3.99.” We just pretty much laughed and left. They’ve been calling and texting with other rates and banks ever since we left, even thought they couldn’t use other banks.....

 

Good for you. I hate a dumbass salesman.

 

We mentioned that, but....yeah....guess he thought we were dumbasses.

 

I think it was in here somewhere that I read about the speakerphone trick they use.

 

On the bright side, I still have the best truck in my driveway. Go back to your slow ass mgm Sequoia Mrs. Machine!
