    Hello everyone.
Did a search although came up empty handed.
    Got a 2014 1794 CM.
Looking to add the brake assist control.
Looking for an advice on what to get, also is it a plug & play
    Recommandation.
Is it needed for our Tundras?
    Thank you in advance.

Tekonsha P3 is hands down favorite!

Should be a harness for your truck and plug and play.

It's needed if you're going to tow anything that has trailer brakes! Check if you have the round 7 way socket on the back bumper.

    I believe I have the rounded 7
Is there some thing special that the rounded 7 has to do with it?

Yes it has the additional wires needed to power the brakes. Also a reverse circuit which is necessary if you have disc on trailer with surge sleeve. Also to power reverse lights which I have on boat trailer. Real handy backing down dark ramps.

    I appreciate that
Now where would be a desirable spot to mount the controller?
    Thank you

You'll need to be able to easily access it. There's a "switch" ,more like a paddle, and you use it in the rare case you get trailer sway. So you want it to be right there and not have to look and feel for it... reach and switch.

In other words you don't want it "out of the way" under seat or in glove box etc....

If you buy local at say an RV shop ask them to show you a good place to mount. They've probably done lots and will guide you.
