    Hey fellas,
I had to do it......yet another mf'in suspension thread......
A local guy is selling a new Toytec Boss lift kit, and i was able to get it for a great price. I wasn't really shopping for a lift kit, but for the price I couldn't pass it up.

It looks like it was ordered with blocks for the rear (not sure what height), but it sounds like adjustable shackles is the way to go. I'm no monster off roader, so I mainly just need something that is friendly on my wallet and isn't going to taco itself if I do go down some dirt roads. Any suggestions?

According to the Toytec site, it's pre set to a 3" lift. When I was thinking about getting a 6112/5160 setup I was thinking about going with the middle setting just to level the truck out. Seems like 3" might be a bit much, or is that just right?

Lastly, I'm still running the factory trd wheels and tires. If I lift/level it, is it going to look retarded (wheel gap for days)? Anyone with a white 3rd gen with trd wheels have this lift?

I don't think that is the Boss kit. You may want to verify what you purchased.

Like @Scud said, make sure it’s the boss kit. Should be adjustable fronts. I’m seeing a post for the Eibach kit in your area.

That’s looks like a toytec eibach kit. Probably won’t even get 2” lift out of it. Heard the springs are to soft.

    Thanks for the input fellas.

I'll get with the seller and make sure that it's the boss kit (silver springs are an option) and also Toytec to see if they will fix the problem with the springs even if I buy from CL....

Yes, Eibach sticker on the shocks. I have had the Eibach kit for over a year and it has been great. Price is a lot lower than the Boss setup.

I’m pretty certain that’s the Eibach kit.

This is the Eibach fronts and Boss rears.
These fronts are not fully adjustable like the Boss fronts. They are only adjustable by the rings.

This is the boss front. The bottom shock body has threads for full adjustment.

Yep definitely not the boss setup. I've contacted the seller to confirm. With the recent issues with the eibach kit, I may pass on these.
    What a bummer.

I heard back from the seller.....it's not the boss kit.

I told the seller to contact Toytec and see if they will take them back or at least swap springs.

I passed on them. The price we agreed on was amazing for the boss kit, but not for the eibach.

    Thanks fellas!!!!!!!!

Off topic, why do a bunch of mods and members have the blue strikeout on their screen name? Ban hammer coming down on each other?

Brian nailed it on the head! The kit you are looking at just has BOSS rear shocks, the front coilovers are Eibachs.

Ya but I wouldn’t pay more then $500 for that kit. Couple hundred more he can get fox 2.0 all around.
