Thanks for the info guys. I'm going to put stock size STT Pro tires on at 32.3 inches, and set the height at 1.3 inches. Nice compromise, and no modifications needed to the truck.

Theoretically, the garages that do the inspections can’t cheat the system because the video feeds go to MassDot and if they see anything “against the rules” the shop will be fined and possibly lose their inspection license. Which, having read up on it, is a huge financial costs for the garages to have the system set up.

I’m not sure if the guy I’ve always gone to, who has been awesome in the past, will risk looking the other way. But since I haven’t had my inspection yet with this new system, so I’m only going by what I’ve read too.

I will have 285/75R18 SCS Ray 10s and coachbuilder +3 shackles. The 5160 drought is leading me towards the @toyyec Boss rear which is good for up to three inches of lift. But does anyone know anything about the Icon 56506-P rear shock? Also up to three inches of lift and is priced competitively.

I almost went with the toytec rear as well but decided against it. But remember there is a drought for a reason so maybe waiting is best. Things don’t sell out because they suck

Did you have to remove the coil overs to adjust?

curious if you notice a difference in ride with the wheel spacers? Also any issues with rock chips from the tires?

Nope, no difference in ride quality and no obvious signs of rock damage. I'll be detailing it next week though for the first time. If there's any hidden dmg under all the offroad dirt and highway grime, I'll know then.

I’ve got the 6112’s @ the 1.9 setting, 5100 for rear, and CB +1’s sitting in the garage to be installed May 28th. Going to add 285/70/18 Nitto Ridge to complete the package. Can anyone confirm if the 5100 can be adjusted 0-1”. I’m worried I’m going to want more rake but if the 5100 can give me .5” I will be ok.

If you want more rake then go with the CB+2 = to 1.25" lift . rear 5100 are not adjustable only the front. https://www.tundras.com/threads/6112-setting-and-tire-wheel-combo-thread.23699/page-7

Thanks for the quick response fellas! Think I’ll get about 1” of rake with what I’ve got which is good ok when not towing. I don’t tow often but don’t want to be riding nose high too bad when I do.

With the actual amount of travel you'll see in the OE Rear leaf packs you'll be in great shape with the 5160's

Man, There are some great lookin trucks in this thread. The Bilstein's paired up with our Coachbuilder shims and shackles are without a doubt one of our most popular configurations available for the Tundras.. We're able to dial in stance and weight distribution extremely well. if anyone has questions or needs advice on sizing feel free to reach out. We're here to help. 801-635-4872

6112-5160, toytec shackles @1.5, without airbags articulation would be even better. 2wd trucks are the best.20190513_161854.jpg 20190513_161918.jpg

@Coachbuilder1 I've got 6112's up front set at 1.9", and I think I need just a little bit of lift out back. I still have the 4600's on the rear. Can I use the +1 shackle with those shocks, or would I need a one with longer travel? Thanks.

Where are you at with the install? Done? Photos? I will be doing mine in a few months as in the middle of packing my house for a big move. We essentially have the same setup just different rear shocks

Busy with work this week. So first week of June I’m guessing. SCS wheels arrived. Tires arrived. UCAs and shocks are all in. Just need time. I will post info and pics up for sure.

I asked @Coachbuilder1 about using rear 5100's with +3's. This was his answer...

Yes, With the amount of actual down travel the OE leaf packs produce its not going to exceed the extended length of the 5100's/5160's Glad you asked. We see this allot

With the 6112s up front it would be a good idea to use at least the Bilstein 5100s in the rear. this way the valving will match much better than the 4600's and will get that extra little bit in overall length. You can get away with continuing to use your 4600's paired up with our +1"s but ride quality will def improve with the 5100's. hope this helps.

Is it crazy to anyone else that just a snap ring on the 6112 holds up the weight of the vehicle? Never seen them in person, maybe they are beefier than they look in pics. But it just doesn't seem anywhere near as strong as the threaded style adjustable coil over. I guess thousands of people are running them without issue... just seems like a weak design to me. That's what I get for being a jeep guy for all these years.

I think the way the lower spring plate is shaped (like a bell), the snap ring is locked in and going no where. That would provide strength and a positive lock. Even when fully extended, there's a lot of pressure from the spring pushing on that lower plate keeping it in place.
