These decals are made to fit perfectly into the impression in the tailgate of 2014 & up Tundras. They are made with top quality vinyl with air egress and repositionable adhesive. This is available in several different color options, as well as different printed designs that are laminated with UV protecting laminate so it’ll be fade free for years! Just ordered some matte black to contrast against my magnetic gray. Can't wait to see how it looks. Is there any special trick to applying these? It seems like they could be eyeballed sine they fit in the tailgate letters.

 

Thank you for your order. They are not tricky to install, it takes a little bit of patience to get them perfect. The 3M material and adhesive is very forgiving though. Cleanliness and proper surface prep are important. I also recommend waiting for a warm day or doing it in a warm garage. I want to get a red one to put on my tailgate

 

I have a couple of shades of red in stock for wet application. I'll have to order some for the dry application, The gloss hot rod red is the most popular color for reds. It's similar to a cardinal red. I should be able to have a special order shipped by Wednesday. Did you check out the link with the forum members special? Just add the color that you'd like in the "instructions to seller" box during checkout.

When it comes to the carbon fiber inserts, are they rigid or flimsy? I did the non carbon fiber ones and they were a pain to put in, and I messed up so some areas are crooked.

 

We offer printed carbon fiber insert and patterned carbon fiber insert (for special request only). Both would feel like any vinyl decal. All our decals are made of 3M material with egress, which should help to ease the installation.

 

It looks like the ones I was thinking of were from tufskinz, but they only have the TUNDRA tailgate letters.

I already did one TRD Pro side with AFM letters (only came with one), and I messed it up and it came out kinda wonky.

 

We use 3M vehicle wrap vinyl that is repositionable and pressure activated adhesive with air release channels (egress). Please watch our installation video https://youtu.be/2vcKdXyMuFM. And this is what the 3M patterned carbon fiber looks like. The pattern is embossed.
