2.5” shocks, 3/1 level, 37s, 5.29s, air locker, on-board air, bed cap, bed stiffeners, roof rack, steps/sliders, spare carrier, under seat storage bins, window tint
That's a pretty good indicator. My springs are in good shape and have a slight arch. You can also measure from the center of the hub to the top of the wheel well (the bed panel, not the plastic like inside the well). On a stock tundra with an empty bed, it should be about 25".

I asked this question when I bought mine, which look exactly like yours. I went to the Toyota Dealer shortly after and the brand new truck springs looked exactly the same. Yours, as worn out as they may look, are how they are made. I'm keeping mine because I'm installing air bags for towing.

looks pretty flat imo. Mine were never like that but maybe they changed the steel between gen 2 and 2014+ production.

If you plan to continue using your truck like a truck, I recommend adding 200 or 300 lbs of capacity on top of your particular OEM rating and you can build in lift if that's your plan. Years ago I installed higher capacity plus lift set of Alcans on my old T100 work truck, I used this truck to haul bottled water out of Dahlonega. 2k in the bed, and towing a light utility trailer loaded with another 2k of bottled H2O. The custom Alcans plus an Air-Lift kit were a huge improvement over stock, the Hellwig rear bar was a huge aid when towing & hauling weight at highway speeds.

The worn out set pictured earlier was replaced with a custom set made by Alcan, I chose the OEM spring rate for this truck because my RCSB is no longer used like a truck - it is living the unladen life on relatively smooth asphalt and concrete.

2k payload plus 2k tow sounds sketch. Not sure the payload cap. on the T100 but the 1st Gen Tundra is around 1600+/-

Per the OP, my buddies 09’ springs looked like yours new. I think the 2nd Gen Bed Payload is 1200#?

Doesn’t make sense that a bigger truck has less bed payload capacity.

    ok more questions ....
    1. when over loaded or shot does this result in a sloppy feel to the rear end?

    2. what are some upgrades leaf spring options?
not really towing but heavy bumper that's loaded up. and lots of camping stuff and you loaded on top and in bed.
and tons of to and from hiway driving and winding mountain roads.

If it was on my immediate radar, I’d think about buying those OEM’s off of you and doing the “doubled up stock leafs” mod haha.

I made the 75 mile return trip from the bottler once or twice a month with a 2k payload plus 2k in tow. I exceeded the capacity rating for sure, but the truck handled it without a fuss once I finished setting it up the way I had it.
