Rathdrum is a lot like Hayden and Post Falls, CDA is likely the most expensive of the the ones mentioned, and Rathdrum is likely the cheapest. With that said, check school districts if you have or will have kids, Idaho ranks poorly in public education. All of North Idaho is gaining in popularity and as such housing continues to get more and more expensive, however you can still find nice homes for rather reasonable prices.

Work, commuting to Spokane for work sucks, I did it for about 3.5 years and recently got back in to a WFH position ( Network Engineer for a east coast company ) This may or may not be a concern for you but just putting it out there. Income tax is 6% sales tax is 6% and we have no smog :)

Hit me up if you move out this way. I lived in San Diego for 21 years and very rarely do I miss it and when I do it is just the weather. Quality of life is much better here.

I live on the boarder of Meridian and Boise. Super nice place to live but its getting really crowded and expensive with all the political refugees coming from California. If you are seriously considering moving here, I'd start looking for a place to buy or rent now and start sending in applications and making offers before it gets too much closer to summer. When I first moved here 2 years ago I didn't know the ropes and tried to start looking like a month or two before I was moving and ended up in a really dumpy rental for 6 months before I could find something nicer and priced fairly.

Its a great place. I love it here and never want to leave. I just hope the housing market crashes sometime soon so that prices for the houses go back to normal. The house I'm renting right now sold for less than 100k 10 years ago...now its worth 325k......and its not a 325k house at all or even close to that hahaha.

Nice! Yeah our shop is in Middleton which is just right by Star. Wonder what the difference between a F250 and F150 box is...we have had an F150 rack in our shop that we've been trying to test fit for the last month with no luck.

You have a ranger too?! Oh man, we got some stuff in the works for you. We built this ranger rack last year but I was never totally happy with it just because the application is different between the truck and UTV (probably wont want to mount a tent on the UTV). I've totally redesigned it and am probably going to build it here in the next two weeks or so.

    Here's the old one:
    20180823_114236.jpg
    20180823_114201.jpg
New one will have an integrated basket vs the crossbars on the top.

Dang it Tanner! I knew I should have asked if you did anything with side by sides!

I would have waited for rock sliders if you had those in the works!

I actually like that tent rack!

Any fellow Boise area members into elk, mule or whitetail hunting?

I want to start scouting some areas for hunting. Seeing if anyone else is interested!

I'd be down! I need to get a hunting rifle, all my pew pew toys are more "assualt style" as they say now-a-days hahaha. Not gonna lie, I'm not sure I'd actually be able to kill anything but I like being outside walking around regardless haha.

Misspent my youth in gibbonsville. Lived in salmon for a bit. Any of you panhandle guys know of dismal lake? I camped there for a spring summer. Dad worked heavy equipment for logging and mining. Not sure which brought us to dismal, but that was one of the greatest times of my life. Cut throat trout all day, campfires all night, always on the lookout for bears.

Rathdrum local here! Not home very often because I work on the road.

If anyone knows of someone selling a tailgate let me know! Mine lost a fight against a pole.

    Sorry for the delayed response!
Thanks! I used to know a few conductors based out of Hauser.
My pick up is white but really any color will do. Can always be repainted.
