Anyone have suggestions or experience with home theatre systems? I purchased a soundbar with Bluetooth sub a while back but it’s flaked on me right after the warranty was up so now I want to do it right and go with a few wired speakers all around the living room.

I’m leaning towards Polk or Yamaha for the theatre system.

I’ve been plugging away with the same Sony 5.1 for about 15 years. Sounds good, works fine.

I would suggest Polk speakers. Even if you do not buy Polk. Become a member on the Polk forum. It is free and you do not need to own Polk.
Wealth of knowledge on there and very helpful people. Just like on here.
    Good luck. D

Thanks for the heads up guys. Yea it seems like Polk is pretty solid when it comes to audio performance.

I’m looking forward to getting a true surround sound so I’ve got some work to do.

A little this and that...Broke now
I run a Yamaha 7.2 in my tv room I got Def Tech speakers and Sub it is awesome the sound and features are great. Down side is the wires. If you can swing Sonos it takes away the running lines they are more pricey.

Hey OP! What sound bar did you have that died? I miss my old 5.1 system BUT I do not miss the wires. Today's sound bars are pretty impressive.

I had a vizio sb3821, it sounded ok when it worked but the subs connection gave out so I’m looking for a better option.

I think it wasn’t enough for my living area so that’s why I want to add the corner speakers.

I'm rocking an Onkyo reciever with Polk towers in the front and Polk bookshelf surrounds with a large Polk front center.

And then I capped it all by getting Dolby Atmos on my Xbox One for some truly incredible audio.

I can piss off the neighbors......on the next block.
