There’s nothing really to prepare for. Just get the 10 and 12mm socket ready, rubbing alcohol, a tiny flat screwdriver for popping the tiny clips so you can remove the sensors, masking tape, and a hair dryer.

    The directions are very straightforward.

On the reverse side of the green line there’s two strips of 3M tape (not sure official name but it’s the good shit). During the process you will take just a part of the backing off the tape and tape it to the front of the shell using the masking tape. One of the last steps is to then pull the rest of the backing off using the strip taped to the front.

The hair dryer is used for heating the install surface prior to install. Rubbing alcohol is for prep.

You have any close ups of the edges where the chrome might peek through? Also any close ups of the fog light bezels? I have rigids in for my fogs and may switch to bajas soon. Just wanting to make sure nothing will interfere. Thanks for the info bud

Posted pics earlier of the “c” hair of chrome peaking through. No closeups of the fog lights. Will post those tomorrow.

Sounds like the installation involves some 3m tape. For the guys who previously plasti-dipped the end caps should we remove the plasti-dip before installing these?

Not sure what the manufacturer will say, but I did a spray vinyl on the chrome originally and removed it a few months ago. During prep, I noticed more of that vinyl so I made sure it was all off.

I did three different scrubs of the bumper with rubbing alcohol, heated it up per the instructions, then installed.

I am newly registered here however have been following this thread for a while now. I have investigated a number of options to eliminate the chrome bumper ends from my 2017 inferno TRD Off Road (linex/powder coating/full replacement) and thus far the most economical and less involved vs bumper disassembly is the end cap covers discussed here. I have emailed Bumpershellz/ecoological twice now but have not rec'd a response. I'd be curious if the manufacturer will ship to Canada (Toronto)? anyone else in this predicament?

Sorry nobody's gotten back to you yet! I know the sales department is swamped right now, so I'm not entirely surprised that some emails are falling through the cracks. We will be shipping to Canada. I'm not sure on pricing yet for this particular package size to Toronto.

Yes, you are going to want to remove plastidip. This bumper should be the cleanest it's ever been for the best adhesion surface... And I would say yes to removing plasti-dip in general
