Hello everyone, just wondering if anyone has installed one of these Alpine Halo9 head units in a gen 3 Tundra. I would like to hear likes and dislikes (besides the almost $1400 price tag!)

I think the main dislike for most folks with the Halo 9 is that the screen has the same (low) resolution as other 6-7" head units

I've been looking at the Halo9 also. James at tech12volts.com quoted me 1199 for everything needed for installation. I've seen the unit itself for 750 new on eBay .

I have heard that it doesn't go bright enough when the sun is on it and can develop a slow initial load time . I'd like to see Alpine release a higher resolution one for the money .

Good unit if u only want it for the Audio part, besides that TONS of available add ons BUT they all require separate modules so that of course means more money. Also no cd slot was a no go for me wich probably isn’t a deal breaker for a lot of ppl now in days. Picture quality Isn’t what u think it would be for that big old screen. The unit does look bad ass tho when installed

Yep they gave me a couple things to do. Apparently on the higher end model trucks there's a mod that has to he done on the maestro harness. I'll try it this weekend when I get some time. Thanks for the help. I'll post up once I figure it out.
