Firestone airbag options for lifted long bed

I have a 2018 SR lifted loooooong bed and have decided to get some air suspension. Even after multiple searches, I'm still confused on what to get.

I have the wired firestone system similar to what you have listed. It works great to level my truck when loaded. I do overload on occasion but looks level while doing it.

 

Lowered 2WD with Air-Lift bags in the back.
The onboard compressor with remote is an excellent option.

Any advantage to having wireless?

Yes, onboard compressor is what I'll do too. I'd like to have a tank as well for track tires, bikes, etc.

 

The onboard compressor option is the way to go. I just put the wireless kit in my highlander

 

i didnt go with the fire stone but the craddle kit is for people that off road more from my understanding. i have have the same, a 2014 sr dc long bed and did the airlift brand 3 years ago with on board compressor and anolog gauge. no problems thus far. under the carpet in the rear, there is a rubber grommet you can send the air hoses through to the bottom of the truck from the cab mounted compressor. mount the compressor under the rear seat that i assume lifts up still. or, i did a mod for the back of the rear seat so you can put it between the rear seat back and back of cab. all power comes from battery and any wires that need to go to cab there is a rubber grommet on the fire wall you can get through

 

Just installed the wireless kit a couple weeks ago. Went wireless for convenience, nice to not have to take out a compressor if I had to make adjustments. Plus I like being able to know the PSI and/or adjust it on the fly. You’d be fine with the non-wireless. Could just run the lines and valves to your gas cap area or rear license plate and connect to air when you need to air them up.

I also installed daystar cradles. Without them your airbags are attached at the top and bottom. It limits travel and could tear the bags if offroad. With cradles they attach at the top and just rest in the cradle at the bottom.

After install, set on 50. Works awesome. May have gone wired instead of wireless if I had to do it again, but all good otherwise.

 

Looks great! What steps are you running? I've been looking for wheel to wheel on the longbed but options are very limited.

 

I had airbags a few trucks ago, they were good when hauling stuff, but when the truck was empty, and the bags were air'd down to their minimum, it rode like a dump truck.

Could you explain why you would go wired?

 

Sitting in the cab, the wireless remote doesn't want to pick up automatically and quickly every time. If I open the door and hold the remote a little lower then it finds the receiver. I guess it's good for outside the truck adjustments, but I'd almost just rather have it mounted inside somewhere. I haven't needed to adjust from outside (yet)

Hey thanks! OZ makes a quality wheel. Used them on several track cars too.

It was on the lot but really basic when I found it. Yes, work-truck like interior in the SR, but not bad. I like doing my own upgrades instead of paying for overpriced cosmetic packages. Radio is next.
