I liked this one over the other 2 listed because it did not have the flimsy pivot scissor arm style that some had and the reviews said it opened up really high.

Had one of those and HATED it!

Of course there's always a time where I need to haul stuff that was higher than the top of the bed or had to crawl in just to get something from the back. Next tonneau I get will be a retractable one.

You know Law323, I had not considered that. I do haul stuff every now and again with the truck and had not considered that. Mainly because I never had a nice truck before so never had a cover. Perhaps the hard folding panel one would be the next best choice...

We do a lot of Bak-Flip G2 (which you stated you didn't want), but we also do a lot of the Retrax. The Retrax covers are nice because they are all powder coated, durable, and locking. The only downside of the Retrax systems are that you lose the first 18" of the bed for the Retrax canister.

Be sure to keep protectant on it bro. My uncle has one of those and after two years, it looks like he got it off the side of the road in the ghetto, but then again he doesn't take care of his stuff so......

Bakflip G2 looks really good... I think it will be one like this since I don't want to fight removing single fiberglass panel cover. Yes I did say I wanted big single cover but was not thinking about being able to remove it for hauling.

I have the Bakflip MX4 and really like it. It's not completely waterproof, but I'm only getting drips in heavy downpours. Folds up out of the way. I chose the MX4 because it is flush with the bed side, you can relocate the bedrails and still use them and you can shut the tailgate with the cover closed without damaging it.

The Bakflip covers are all so similar. How the heck do you tell the differences?

I just installed the Undercover Elite-LX 2 hours ago (Silver Sky '16 - sorry no pics yet). I did FAR more research on the cover than I did on the truck.
I had a Chevy Avalanche that I loved, & loved the bedcover set up. What my research proved was that if you're going with an aftermarket cover the only chance at weather tight is a solid, non folding tonneau. (Rolling, folding, etc are covered w seals & seams waiting to fail).
Check out the Elite, it keys to your ignition key & the Elite-LX comes painted to match your color code. Haven't lived with it for more than 2 hours... but looks better than I had even hoped. The install was super easy & it's designed to be removable. I could have this cover off in 3 min with an extra set of hands.

I've had retractable covers on last two trucks. They're awesome. Won't use any other kind.

I have the BakFlip VP which folds and locks but is covered with a solid sheet of vinyl so you don't see the hinges. Also fits inside the rails for a nice low profile look. Must mention I had a problem with a warped panel but BakFlip replaced the entire cover without hastle under warranty.

Bakflip G2 fan here. I considered the rolling style but have heard they can jam up with ice and snow in winter up here in the North.

I had the Bak Roll-X on my Tacoma and plan to buy one for the Tundra. It was pretty solid and could be rolled up and tied off at the front of the bed in seconds when you needed that space. It only took up about 8" of space above front of the bed in the rolled up position. You could also just remove it if needed in a couple of minutes. I really liked how quickly you could roll it up at the front of the bed at a moment's notice and it didn't obstruct your view. I had a Bak Fibermax on my other Tacoma and I liked it but didn't like how it obstructed my view when it was locked in the "up" position.

I also have a BakFlip VP. I love it. Very low profile which makes it look great in my opinion. Hard tonneau with no hinges for leaks, very clean looking.

Does anyone know if a retractable one will go on the beds with the railing system? I have the railing system on my truck and hope a retractable tonneau will work with it.

I have a truxedo titanium. Love it so far. Hard cover that looks like a soft one, and it rolls up instead of folds, so it doesn't cover a third of the bed or the back window when it is open.

Cover installed. I got the Bakflip MX4. I did the drains a bit different than the instructions said but I think this is more functional. Have a look, (Truck is really dirty) IMG_8111.jpg IMG_8112.jpg IMG_8113.jpg IMG_8114.jpg IMG_8113.jpg

I have a Bakflip RevolverX2 (love it so far), I also have a rail system in my bed, when they installed the revolver I didn't know it at the time but they lowered my rail system by about and inch to make the cover fit. So now I still have both, cover & rail system.

I have the truxedo low pro roll up tonneau cover. Like the price and full bed usage when rolled up. Can hear the poles bouncing around with the rear window down but can't hear it with the window up.
