Since MPG seems to be a common topic around here, I thought I would share my commute this morning. Cruise set to 72mph.

I haven’t weighed the truck but I suspect it is over 6000 pounds. I have a bedliner, tonneau, double sound deadening in doors, dual exhaust and Amp running boards.

The key is two things, I recently switched to P rated 275/60R20 from E rated Toyos and I use TSS adaptive cruise. Lots of haters on this forum for TSS, but you are missing out, much more relaxing to drive in traffic as well as it coasts easily and accelerated gently and gets better gas mileage.

I recently switched to 275/60R20 P rated as well but I’m not seeing this kind of improvement... perhaps my computer hasn’t RE-learned yet?

Are you using cruise, and at what speed do you have it set?

I've gotten 20 MPG on a few highway drives already. Yes, it's mostly flat here. And the adaptive cruise isn't horrible, I suppose. I'll keep those tires in mind when the time comes.

I can get 17's-18's on stock platinum tires if I'm cruising 65 for a while. Other than that I'm lucky to get 13 in the city.
