Just adding 5100 struts on the front of the truck. It has a 7” stage 1 lift now and was wondering how bad it would be to set the clip to one above the low setting. Looking for a tiny bit more room as the 35’s are rubbing just a touch with the spacers and I’ve cut about as much as I can from the front bumper before I have to cut off a bolt and mount. Would stacking this be ok?

Adding 5100's to an already 7" lift? Man I think you got it backwards.....

Ps....I'm running 35's on a 3 inch with no rub

Never looked at bumper shims.. I’m only adding the 5100’s because the es6000 procomp struts that came with the kit are brutal. So while I’m having them installed ( at the lowest setting) I though I’d take care of the rub and try and bump it up a bit. And it’s only running because I’ve got 1.5” spacers on a 0 offset wheel already. That and the duratrac knobbies stick out really far. If I take off the spacers I can fit 37’s no problem. Just like the wide track look.

So upon further research the 5100’s at the lowest clip still give .87” of lift so I think it’ll work out well for me. The strut has 3 positions lowest .87” , middle is 1.57” and highest is 2.28”. So I’ll install at the lowest setting and see my clearance from there. The CB shims will be next if it doesn’t clear.. thanks for the suggestion

5100’s are installed. Looks like I gained 1.25”s of front lift at the lowest setting and it rides great. From the ground to the top of my wheel well is sitting at 45.75”s and the rear is sitting at 47.75”s. Going to have to order some extended brake lines tho now, they’re pretty tight. 5125 shocks are next up to replace the es9000’s.

Post 4 sounds like he hates them. Can't beat 5100s for the money in my opinion.

    OP hows it ride now?

No, es6000’s are the fronts that match the es9000’s in the rear that come with the kit. OCD says make them match so I ordered the 6000s when the lift was put in. Ive been very disappointed with the procomps and super happy with the Bilsteins. I hit a bump and barley feel it now in the front. Even the installer was surprised how well it rode. Now I need the rear shocks to match the fronts and the 5125’s are 30.88” extended length that will be just right. Basically a longer 5100 for lifted applications.

Nice looking Truck. I put 5100's on my old GMC and loved them. Hitting bumps never felt so good. It always tracked straight no matter how rough the road. I look forward to putting them on the new 19 Tundra just cannot justify throwing out the 4600's yet. They ride pretty good too.

Just an update.. after a day or so of driving around I’ve decided to order adjustable coilovers. The 7” procomp kit comes with an in-coil spacer as well as the top one so the preload with the 5100 lift added has made the ride over small cracks in the road just too harsh.

Curious what u go with. I have the stage 2 procomp and have replaced the rusted procomp coils once. They call it a black box and you need to call tech support but you can buy the coils alone for 800 or so shipped. I considered the bds fox coils as they will work on the procomp lift as well (remote resi is over kill for my street queen and they are pricey) icon (they have an off the shelf solution) radflo (priced right with an off the shelf solution) and kings (pricey long lead time overkill for my street queen). Still not sure what ill do...learning toward radflo. I mostly dd my truck and have corrosion concerns with winter also.@Elka Suspension does not have a bracket lift solution at this time. Bummer bc I like thier products.

I’m looking at Vated 6” coilover from Fatbobs garage. I’ve heard good things and the base is a 5100. I’ll be talking to the tech later today so I’ll keep ya posted.
