So this is a little off topic but I thought I'd share this, my buddy recently bought a used 90,000 km 2013 SVT Raptor for $35k and I gotta say it looks pretty bada**. Wondered if any of you guys have cross shopped the Raptor and the TRD PRO? I definetly would not consider the new Ecoboost one but was honestly taking a hard look at the 6.2 L before I got my Tundra (used). Not sure how long that truck will last but I hear the 6.2 L is Ford's best engine (if that means something haha). All in all, its a looker on the outside but the inside felt smaller compared to my Tundra even though its approximatly 7 inches wider and a bit longer overall. Shocks are definetly better than the Bilsteins, not sure about the 2019 TRD PROs though. The "terrain" tan colour also looks pretty great. Let me know your thoughts on this, I thought I'd never get back in a Ford again but there's something about the Raptor that appeals to my inner (irresponsible) child...

(if you don't know what a Raptor looks like for some reason here it is haha)

One of my friends has the exact Raptor, except he took off all the stickers.

The SVT Fox shocks suck. So when they start puking oil, time for an upgrade. I suggest Kings.

I think they’re great looking trucks but Toyota is the only brand I will buy these days new or used. Unless I trade shit in every other year, which I don’t.

So everyone talks about the problems with the Ford Raptor, but I have had 3 steering racks fail, Power Steering pump fail, Radiator fail, Fuel sending unit fail, Cam Towers leaking oil and sure there is more - so my fair share of problems with the Tundra as well.

I guess its pretty unanimous...Tundra it is . To be frank, before I purchased my tundra I thought that the Toyota was absolutley hidious (I'm serious), not sure what changed but I'm digging it now! The Raptor felt big yet small at the same time. Guess space wasn't properly used because it is tight inside

I think the previous gen Fords are a little better because there are no (little) electronics that can fail. The earlier raptors didn't even have a touch screen, just an analog clock. The newer ones are god awful cheap plastic everywhere and gimmicks around every corner

Haha. To be fair I believe the 1st Gen Raptor is the only competator for the Tundra. Its pretty unanimous that Chevys, Rams, and the newer Fords suck. At least there's "some" common ground regarding the 6.2 L. But anyone buying the new ecoboost is out of their minds, not sure why anyone would overpay for such crap

I will wait for a v8 LOL I have too much $$$ in my Tundra to switch, so stuck with the Tundra for awhile. Need to buy a brand new 5.7 motor and transmission and stash it in my garage for a rainy day.

Some people on this forum think Toyotas are indestructible and fords fall apart after u drive them off the lot. Meanwhile my old man is still driving my old 2001 f150 that’s never needed a single repair. My friend is still driving his 2000 f150 triton he bought new, never had a problem and doesn’t even do regular maintenance on it. Fords aren’t the #1 selling trick because they’re junk...
I wanted a tundra but I wouldn’t mind having a raptor at all.

I think consistancy is something Toyota definetly has, not saying its the "best" but its consistantly great while with the big three it's more of a crapshoot. You might get one that runs to 300k miles and some that get 10 recalls in a month...luck of the draw I guess
