Those are the reasons I’m on my 3rd 1st gen Tundra. I still have to access parking garages, some of which are 6’2”. I think a couple are 6’0”. Plus I got a seriously great deal on the one I have now.

Serious frame rust is a death sentence unless you can somehow get Toyota to do something about it.

Yeah, had a couple smaller Toyota trucks back in the day, they were rust buckets. I wish they made my current truck again only updated and rust resistant. The Tacoma seems closer to my size but all the new full size trucks are houses on wheels. Wonderful I'm sure, but not what I want... This truck was hit from behind by a drunk driver 3 years ago, and insurance gave me new full size Tundra loaner for a week...holey shit was it cool....!!

My previous vehicle was a 2004 Jeep Wrangler TJ Rubicon and they are notorious for frame rust. POR-15 is what I'd recommend to protect your frame if it isn't too far gone. Don't forget to clean and treat all of the inside of the frame too. Even if you need to drill access holes to get to all areas of the frame. Like many things prep work is critical for achieving good results. Time and money well spent. Good luck.

I wish they still made the small early 90s style, without any fussy driver assist crap.
