we have a 30 year old honda rt5000 riding tractor with a 36" deck that still runs perfectly. Once I swap out the blades on it this weekend it'll be able to stripe my lawn nicely. right now it cuts like a rusty butter knife

 

48" Bobcat / ransoms with a Kohler command 15hp. Textron belts have faired well.
I have always done the regular maintenance to it. Oil and filter changes every year, keep the air cleaner, well, clean. For the last 5 years or so 8 have treated it with fluid film including underneath the deck. There are 12 zerks to grease every few weeks and I keep the blades sharp. I have had to change a few belts over the years but the actually wheel drive belts are original. It had a new transmission and new tires about 10 years ago. When I was in high school and college from 1997-2004 I cut anywhere from 10-30 lawns a week with it and many of those it towed a sulky. It smokes a little now and I've lost 2nd gear again but all in all it still cuts very nice. Not sure if I'll do the tranny again (only costs a couple hundred bucks)
Or trade it in for a newer one when the time comes.

 

My dad rarely did any maintenance to our Honda and I didn't start maintaining it until about 6 years ago when I turned 13. Since then I've treated the tractor like its mine and have been pretty much the only person in the house that mows or does anything with it. I've used it as a skidder to pull some big fricken logs out of my woods before and its 4wd and 4 wheel steer so it'l go pretty much anywhere without a deck. sometimes we'll use it to plow in the winter too but now we have a snowblower so we use that instead. It definitely needs some new blades because the last time my dad mowed he got too close to our hammock and took a pretty big chunk out of the metal leg on it.

So after I mowed the front lawn I was... Of course.... Admiring my truck. For some reason my driver side is sitting slower than the passenger side. Are I put the leveling lift on it wasn't like that but now it is....WTF
