So I have a 2015 tundra without the DRL from the factory, and purchased the DRL capable harness and 2018 tundra LED lights from headlightrevolution.com back in November. I installed the lights and harness myself and had to swap 2 pins in both the headlight cable wires to get the DRL functioning.

I had everything working perfect and decided to upgrade my bumper to the new ARB Summit bumper. About a month ago I got the bumper installed. The ARB bumper has extra turn signal markers and my local 4 wheel parts shop spliced into those for the bumper lights to function. They were working fine when I left the shop with the truck that night.

I was driving at night a couple weeks ago and my left light went out all of a sudden. I checked and had both the low beam and high beam 15 amp fuses blown. When I replaced both the fuses the headlights will only function in highbeam for both right and left lights. When I remove the low beam left fuse the right low beam functions again and both the brights will activate when switched on.

I brought it back to 4 wheel parts and they threw up their arms and are completely stumped.

I took it to my Toyota dealer and they laughed me out the door for all the aftermarket mods they didn't know where to start.

I did a search and found this link: I'm basically at a loss.

the biggest disappointment is that to be able to remove the headlamp assembly, I would have to also remove the bumper!! the way it is designed it is really up in there and you can't even get the grill out anymore.

my next step is basically to remove the ARB turn signal splices and revert the harness back to it's original state.

If that does not give me back my left low beam then I will replace the orginal pin configuration and test to see if my old halogen left headlamp is working to rule out the headlight assembly as the failure.

My final resort would be to get a new OEM harness, pull the bumper and reinstall my old factory headlamps and put the bumper back on in absolute shame- and then take it back to Toyota if it does not work.

I am in the Jacksvonville FL area and there aren't a lot of shops that play with this kind of thing.

So far 4 wheel parts and the dealer have shunned me.

Any takers to help me figure this out?

I have access to a fluke meter and have electrical friends I can call on but no one that would have any chops with this kind of issue.

Does it possibly need a resistor? Obviously something happened with that install of the new lights in the bumper. How did they splice into it? With a t-tap or a posi-tap?

X2. Having seen @iHacker quality and read his OCD confession, I expect all those crimp connectors, T-taps, and circuit overloads will make him shake his head.

I've been staring at these pics and now my eyes hurt. What kind of front directional bulbs are you using? I'd try to first unplug the T-tapped plugs from the hacked wiring to see what happens. Next I'd try removing the two front amber directional bulbs from their sockets and see what happens. I'm guessing something is crossed or sending power where it shouldn't be.

I do see on one parking light tap they put the ground wire(Black) on the parking light wire (purple)and on the other parking light they put it on the ground (Black and white). Don’t know if that’s it. But just noticed it

Looks like the red and black may need to be switched

    :eek2: Wow

First of all your ARB number have LED or incandescent bulb?

Also I recommend you to identify the function for each wire in the bumper directionals red and green maybe crossed.

From what I see probably your directionals work normally only with headlights off but when you activate the lows that bunch of splice connectors starts the mess.

Remove the spliced connection from white wire, you can keep the t-tap in violet wire your bumper directionals should work normally. Probably the problem originated here

    sweet feedback, thanks guys...

The local dealer parts manager is helping me troubleshoot it on the side. He ran the toyota maintenance shop for 20 years and also owns a tundra, believes it is a burnt integration relay after showing him the vehicle and walking him through. I've already disconnected all the spliced in wires to eliminate the failure again if we get it going with the integration relay. We are gonna meet up again next monday to get that a shot. Stay tuned...
