Does anyone know if adding that metal plate to your phone or case interferes with wireless charging. I want to do this same dash mount but want to be able to use my wireless charger still. I'm thinking of maybe uses magnets to mount a vent style phone holder into this location, but that kinda defeats the purpose of this stealthy style mount

Yes it does, but also it depends on the size plate you use. I use the "Scosche" plates. I have tried the larger plate on both an iPhone X and Samsung S10+ and on both, wireless charging barely works (super sensitive on where you put the phone on the charger). My wife uses the smaller plate with her iPhone X and its less sensitive, but still will interfere/prevent charging if she's not paying attention. In all cases above, we put the plates as far down on the case/phone as we can. I would assume putting them higher up would make things worse.

Thanks @Cement I have been reading that if you stick the plate low on the phone or case it may work okay with wireless charging. I may give it a try

I extended it for my 07 Tundra and replaced Coin Holder with a neodyium magnet and schosche plate attached to my phone cover. Was at a local shop in DFW area to get few other things done and they charged me a nominal amount to make it happen.

Total Cost for parts: 8$ for Schosche plate , 8$ for Neodyium 2.5" Magnet.

I’m jealous. I have a column shifter. It would block my view of the phone. I think I’ll have to do the ac ones. Good job though.

I do too. Did you figure out a good spot to install a mount?

Honestly no. Im using the ac magnet thing but in the winter(now) my phone gets hot cause of the heater. Also the bottom part is blocked by the shifter while on drive. Using an iPhone 7 or 8. Then I got a dash thing from Amazon. I’ll add pics. If anyone has a better idea don’t be shy.

Do you like the dash tray thing you have? I saw that but wasn't sure it would be easy to put/pull the phone off that.

I too have the "dash thing" and tho it works well when needed, it doesn't look right...but now I laugh as the damn dash divot also doesn't look right from the factory...ha! At least there is use for it now I suppose.

The dash thing "works" but when I take my phone off the dash thing comes up with it. Then the change thing sucks cause it rattles when i hit a bump. Besides that it better than having that weirs center void. I was thinking of making a hole and making that area a storage area and use the original cover as a lid but its a 2020 and don't wanna cut her up. also the center console storage sucks on the top part.

Depending on what trim you have, this may be easier. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2550423143...rZmYQ9bu2R5_5UoOJ8oWy7Xl7H5-pSpkaAm0bEALw_wcB
