You can do it, just need to go faster

The sweet spot for me on those 3-4 footers is 60-65 mph. As soon as I drop below 55 all hell breaks loose haha

Honestly there should be two courses. The course in the open main area for MT guys, and theres a super sweet course in the back with the big whoops for the LT trucks (those runs I did in my youtube videos). That valley forms a nice little bowl so we can get some awesome videos and it makes a nice loop too.

I don't see any reason to split NA and SC trucks. Suspension and testicular fortitude are going to be the main factors there.

@KevinK ideas for next year. But if I'm going to be super honest kevin, these races should be private and not organized. The entire T2S event will get shut down with one accident. We should show up, agree amongst ourselves in private, and race over a hand shake.

I agree with O'side 100%. Unpopular as it may be, the liability is through the roof. Perhaps it could just be a "high-speed cornering/skills clinic" ??? ;)

Not sure if you mean "race" race-? I think time trials were a great way to provide a "race" option while mitigating liability. I can see huge risk in letting trucks run side to side.

I think it'd take a lot of personnel to "close" the tracks to run more than one at a time. And I know I'm missing an important bit of information: how'd we keep non- T2S-participants off the track during the event? I saw non-Tundras driving on Cinders when we arrived, but not during the trials....

The T2S event requires permits from the city counsel. One injury accident and I promise you those permits will not be granted.

Not to mention how sue happy most americans are... also, insurance companies love to come after people too

Absolutely agree, the onus needs to be on the participants and not the T2S organization.

Side question, I see a cement Tundra outside WOW Auto Care on Poway Rd quite often. Modded well: bumpers, lights, suspension (I believe fox with Camburg billet UCAs), sliders, bed rack, etc...

I'll try to snap a pic. Is this anyone known? It's a nice truck!

I'll keep an eye out, but haven't seen this exact one, Mike. Here in SoCal it seems like Cement is getting really, really common...on everything from Civics to Mini Coopers. Hell, Ford even offers a darker version on fancy F-150s...I mean Raptors.

Yeah it is. It's a really awesome color! But was cooler when it was more rare. I still dig it though!

    "Fancy F-150"

I always laugh when customers call me and they're all "I wish I had a Raptor" and I sit back and think to myself how if they put in a little effort they could have a WAAAAY more capable truck. Ford did a great job marketing them, and I do think they look good, so there's that. May be an unpopular opinion around these parts.

Honestly, I think most of us ridicule them because they're the one truck that makes us feel like we aren't the HMFIC at intersections.

Raptors are cool but it's a Ford which in my personal experience = unreliable. I've had 3 Fords and 7 transmissions.:notsure:

Also, for those who know Colton:
He rode with @papasmurf out at superstition and then felt unstoppable in his Tacoma. Drove it fast AF and did something to cause a check engine light.
Turned out to be a misfire in cylinder 3.

He’s been driving it since and last Thursday it finally ceased to run correctly.

It’s now down pending a motor swap or rebuild.

for those that didnt see the other thread.. up SGU and bastards did well

that being said, here is my run at cinders

and here is the run I did in the hulk with @Sunnier as a passenger... and yes we ran a 1:24 that was 8-9 seconds slower than my run, but power at altitude was a huge factor.. otherwise that little truck is bad AF!! if it was supercharged I bet I could have won in the hulk or come close

I'll help him when he gets there, and I'm sure he'd be open to any and all Tundra assistance! Plan is to save up for a V6 transplant to upgrade from the 4 banger. Maybe just maybe he can be coaxed into a 4.7L swap :burnrubber:
